Shireoaks Level Crossing

Saturday June 28 2014 at 12.09. The 11.33 Meadowhall to Lincoln (13.06) train pulls out of Shireoaks station. It can just be heard stopping at the station 50 seconds earlier. The Shireoaks Carnival was on in the afternoon hence the lorry delivering road closed signs and cones. This was a pit village until the mine was closed in 1991. The barriers here were lowered far too early particularly in view of the speed the train would be travelling.
