For those who are living in the old folks home...I heard so many stories about old folks home, old people were treated badly, not giving a proper meal, shower them with cold water....and so on...my heart sink completely when I came to know about things like that actually happened in the old folks home 😞😞😞. Hi, i know that in my state, nursing homes go by the ratio of workers to residents not the needs for the workers that the residents need (because one resident may require 2-3 workers to help him/her ). this in turn can then lead to less well-rounded care for the other people that they should be getting, as homes then are short staffed. Now, I'm not saying that this is the reason for every improper care or neglect that some residents receive, but, adding to the prayer that states pass laws that such facilities have to staff by the Need instead of the Ratio, would help in providing proper care to residents/elderly.
