Jazz and Death Metal was not a combo I expected to like, but here I am. Also nice touch rating how hard it is not to headbang by MegaMan boss difficulty.
Be sure to check out other Igorrr songs, such as Apopathodiaphulatophobie (fear of constipation, Absolute Psalm, Camel Dancefloor, Paranoid Bulldozer Italieno, Houmous and many others
@SheolAbaddonus𖤐666 throw Peace Sells and early Black Sabbath albums into the trash then because Samuelsson and Ward heavily influenced by jazz and it shows in their styles.
I'm with you sir. I instantly lost to that one. The not headbanging was painful and while I fought myself to not do it, I found myself playing the basslines on the back of my phone. Lol
with how chill post-black is as a genre, putting saxophone in it is actually a brilliant choice. i fall asleep to post-black all the time. (sadness, cairiss, sorrow plagues, deafheaven, show me a dinosaur, sylvaine, etc. love post-black)
Im proud of myself haha I just didn't know the one with the big name, Last Days of Humanity, Deathspell Omega and Hipno5e I think i'm gonna love Hipno5e...
@@fernandogaray1681Hypno5e is amazing and absolutely underrated, the tag cinematic metal goes perfectly with them, its a really immersive experience although their atmosphere building tends to be quite long (reason of why their tracks have multiple parts) so requires a bit of patience
"Genre: Meshuggah" XD Wah, this video is full of random technical progressive avant garde stuff, and that kind of music is my shit. Thanks for the compilation man, I'm a big fan of your taste in music. I need more vids like this btw haha, I found a lot of new awesome music
Instantly lost at Mother Man's jazz fusion breakdown. The rhythm section's playing make it impossible not to groove in your chair :D I don't know if you've seen it, but a guitarist somehow covered the entirety of Meshuggah's "I" in a video! Also that White Ward song sounded amazing, thanks for the new band to check out!
Had I not already known what to expect from Very Noise and Hell (ClownCore), I would've failed at those. Future Breed Machine was pretty much the fail point, as far as the spirit of the challenge goes. Also the last 2 songs, Deviant Shapes (the 2nd part) and Acid Mist Tomorrow. YIKES.
If you ever make another one of these "strange" headbang challenges you should include the Japanese band "Sigh", they're really good but a bit strange (in a good way tho)
I've been trying to find this video and the songs acid mist and leprous without rembering their names for six months now until I learnt about Goggle TH-cam advance history search a few hours ago. Also thank you for introducing me to Meshuggah, Diablo Swing Orchestra and UneXpect , I've really gotten into those bands since you first released this video 🙏🏿
Those are the kind of comments we love to read ! Glad I could share my passion for those bands ! If you had subscribbed, you would not have struggled that much :D (kiding ;) )
@@necrochaufagist I subscribed last night. The funniest part about this is that I found the Me incredible becoming uncanny videos but because I remembered this one having a different format, I thought it was a different channel.
Someone on TH-cam took that anoying song ima barbie girl and used ai to make it in the style of system of a down. Don't judge me its actually a banger. And what in the fucked up world is clown core
crazy that thanks to this video I found out about Aeolia by Leprous and Acid Mist Tomorrow by Hyno5e so thank you. They are in my top 10 favorite albums of all time
The second the vocals hit on Pneumonoultramicro... I was obligated to headbang. I am a sucker for slam and could not hold it any longer. AND IT WAS HARD TOO Unexpect, Igorrr and Clowncore all slap extremely hard too.
See my internal struggle was solved because I knew that one part from like 10ish minutes in was better than the portion they played. Distracted me just long enough lmao
Song - uga uga uga uga
Band - uga uga
Album - uga uga
Genre- Caveman slam
You will not be disappointed
Thanks I was not disappointed
Jazz and Death Metal was not a combo I expected to like, but here I am. Also nice touch rating how hard it is not to headbang by MegaMan boss difficulty.
Not death metal but check out Voice of Tresspass by Between the Buried and Me, and The Transfiguration Fear by Sigh
I survived the challenge, but at what cost? So many good headbangs gone to waste…
Well you can always headbang afterwards
Never thought Jazz metal was a thing, might look into that. Also Very noise is the most song ever
Be sure to check out other Igorrr songs, such as Apopathodiaphulatophobie (fear of constipation, Absolute Psalm, Camel Dancefloor, Paranoid Bulldozer Italieno, Houmous and many others
@SheolAbaddonus𖤐666 found the metal elitist
@SheolAbaddonus𖤐666 throw Peace Sells and early Black Sabbath albums into the trash then because Samuelsson and Ward heavily influenced by jazz and it shows in their styles.
ah yes. Very Noise. Out of all the songs I've ever heard, that is definitely one of them.
@SheolAbaddonus𖤐666 you will die a virgin with your little 666 edginess, my dear boy.
"Genre: Meshuggah"
So damn accurate
Clowncore is just that genre, Clowncore.
And it just works.
And wins, for me at least
It's breakcore
Same like Meshuggah lol
It physically HURT to not headbang to Quote Unquote, this is an absolutely vicious challenge
I'm with you sir. I instantly lost to that one. The not headbanging was painful and while I fought myself to not do it, I found myself playing the basslines on the back of my phone. Lol
bro right
Hell yeah, Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle is one of my favorite albums of all time
I tried so hard but that part of Travolta is just... You cannot avoid it.
That and Clown Core. I felt like i was betraying myself not grooving to them at least.
Love the little Megaman robots in the corner 😁 a nice touch
Me too
Deathspell Omega - The members DOES NOT remains unknown today.
I love how you made Meshuggah its own genre… So true though.
Djent
most of these challenges are pretty easy to me because they often choose the most conventional and lame Songs.
with this one I lost right from start
okay dude, listening to future breed machine and not headbanging is torture
with how chill post-black is as a genre, putting saxophone in it is actually a brilliant choice.
i fall asleep to post-black all the time.
(sadness, cairiss, sorrow plagues, deafheaven, show me a dinosaur, sylvaine, etc. love post-black)
Also Alcest is good
Good thing he didn't play "That Part" of I, everyone would have lost instantly.
I lost right off the bat with DSO. I can't help myself when it comes to them, I just have to move.
This video is proof that metal music is
*"man's best work of art".*
Almost died trying not to headbang to Clown Core, jesus I love those guys so much!
you almost got me at acid mist tomorrow, first time hearing the music and the band, absolutely bangs, thankful you've presented it to me bro
That one was so good jfc
First time hearing it. I couldn't stop myself. The urge to head bang and air instruments was too much lol
criminally underviewed video
You know you're a proggy boi when you know half of these by heart
Im proud of myself haha I just didn't know the one with the big name, Last Days of Humanity, Deathspell Omega and Hipno5e
I think i'm gonna love Hipno5e...
just dont know the french ones
Yea unexpect got me
i knew every one of them except the freak guitar one xD
@@fernandogaray1681Hypno5e is amazing and absolutely underrated, the tag cinematic metal goes perfectly with them, its a really immersive experience although their atmosphere building tends to be quite long (reason of why their tracks have multiple parts) so requires a bit of patience

So I'm over here trying not to tap my foot to the intro music.... That trumpet made it hard
Mr Bungles cover album image really disturbs me XD
I didn't lose, but I enjoyed the journey and the small facts along the way. Didn't dislike a single song though.
Oh hey look it’s osu guy
You can't ask to do not headbang with Travolta xD
I'm noticing a lot of these bands take after Mr. Bungle's approach to metal
Ah, Last Days of Humanity. A band very well known to anyone who's played the Zombiegrinder 60000 flash game
Instantly lost at Mother Man's jazz fusion breakdown. The rhythm section's playing make it impossible not to groove in your chair :D
I don't know if you've seen it, but a guitarist somehow covered the entirety of Meshuggah's "I" in a video! Also that White Ward song sounded amazing, thanks for the new band to check out!
additional challenge: no feet movement to the rhythm
I love how it keeps getting more and more obscure like the less I can find on streaming platforms
This was indeed a strange adventure, and I lost at last days of humanity
Can’t not headband to them boys
It actually hurt to not decimate someone with Last Days Of Humanity on the background
I made it, but damn was it hard by the time the black/post-black metal rolled around and then the final song hit me like a train.
Deviant shapes by white ward was really nice
Had you played the chugging part right after in Future Breed Machine I would have lost so damn hard!
Jazz and metal.... the Reese's Cup of music.
I love Clown Core so much, man, such a cool band. Lotta cool choices here too, gonna have to check some of these guys out!
An Unending Quest
Well, as a man for polyrhythms, it was hard to keep my excitement until the last note. And in the end - i must say - you steam a good ham.
I'm so not used to this sound yet it ressembles something I've heard of.
I lost at Last Days Of Humanity. Dammit, it's a such a good song and I'm sorry, I can resist it :(
Already knew Igorrr was going to be here. They are crazy live.
Genuinely one of the hardest I've come across in a while, almost cracked at Mother Man, but pulled through. Bravo.
14:35 that groove is impeccable. As someone who's constantly doing something rhythmically/melodically, this was rlly hard
best "try not to headbang" video ever, there are a lot of amazing bands.
Agree
Had I not already known what to expect from Very Noise and Hell (ClownCore), I would've failed at those.
Future Breed Machine was pretty much the fail point, as far as the spirit of the challenge goes.
Also the last 2 songs, Deviant Shapes (the 2nd part) and Acid Mist Tomorrow. YIKES.
8:00 No way! My favourite genre, Meshuggah!
There is always something about THAT part in I that forces me to headbang, even if I don't want too. Good challenge nonetheless.
I'll gladly lose this challenge with metal pride.
Omg I love Last Days of Humanity, Xav, and Deathspell Omega
i can kinda understand deathspell omega, but last days of humanity ? how the fuck do people even like this shit ???
Seek help
Clown Core was the hardest for me tbh
You're cruel, this was legitimately the hardest try not to headbang challenge that I came across. Almost failed at Meshuggah and Hypno5e
Meshuggah - Elastic got me :)
me too
If you ever make another one of these "strange" headbang challenges you should include the Japanese band "Sigh", they're really good but a bit strange (in a good way tho)
So, you love Metal and Mega Man? Always nice to see the robot masters ^^
Clowncore is like a modern day Naked City
Damn, I lost at Acid Mist Tomorrow. Amazing riffs.
I discovered a lot of good bands, thank you
Not headbanging to a Blotted Science song really is a fucking challenge
Respect for including White Ward! Sick band
Thank you so much, I discovered some really cool bands thanks to this video, sub and liked!!!
As a drummer, being told not to play air drums, I'am personally offended.
Weed smoking metalist, alias a guy banging his head harder to the jaz saxophone part than to the chuggy guitar part.
You choose the best DSO riff ever & the best riff in history of mankind, truly impossible challenge
I successfully restrained myself until meshuggah played.

This was a lot tougher than I thought it would be.
at technical I started to want to headbang... Glad I didn't. Failed at Mashuggah. I can't help it. That band is Godly
5:54 violently hard
Deviant Shapes got me, man. Goddamn.
Edit: If I didn't lose on Deviant Shapes, then Acid Mist Tomorrow definitely would have gotten me.
Dude, if you're going to start with Diablo Swing Orchestra then it's not fair.
crazy that thanks to this video I found out about Aeolia by Leprous and Acid Mist Tomorrow by Hyno5e so thank you. They are in my top 10 favorite albums of all time
Easy win, just unplug headphones.
This gave me so many bands to look up lol
The second the vocals hit on Pneumonoultramicro... I was obligated to headbang. I am a sucker for slam and could not hold it any longer. AND IT WAS HARD TOO Unexpect, Igorrr and Clowncore all slap extremely hard too.
I FAILED THIS SO FUCKING HARD!!!! But I'm glad I did and discovered many bands I hadn't heard before.
Was expecting some Darker by Design here, some of that Funeral Death Metal goodness... great video!
I recognized xavleg, Mr bungle, and meshuggah and I had to click
I instantly lost as soon as I from Meshuggah started playing.
See my internal struggle was solved because I knew that one part from like 10ish minutes in was better than the portion they played. Distracted me just long enough lmao
damn, just found your channel, brings me back to like 10 years ago when such music was my shit, grear memories
God, old Leprous was so goddamn good.
I almost lost at meshuggah, caught myself rising my head to bang it. Then you hit us with future breed machine. Brutal.
finally an actually good try not to headbang challenge
Does moving my leg to the beats in order to relieve the urge to release energy with the songs’ beats count? No, right?
Loved seeing White Ward!
I have emerged victorious. Also White Ward can make one hell of a guitar solo.
Wow man, thanks for the great list
They were right, their really is no money in jazz
Putting Meshuggah in these kinds of challenges should be illegal
Very early into the video I said "fuck it, I'm gonna headbang"
Lost at Xavleg, I couldn’t help it 😩
White Ward coming with that sax 💪💪
Started to really struggle at 8 mins in. Broke at 13:32. I WAS SO CLOSE.
Genre: Meshuggah
Yo having something from such an early Leprous album was pretty cool
Acid moist tomorrow sounds like A7X Sounding The Seventh Trumpet.
"shoulda chose I" i say before it pops up.
11:40 the most unexpected thing i ever listen to
That jazzy funk switch up was so tasty
Damn,Acid Mist Tomorrow… how’d I miss that shit for 11 years?
Hypno5e slaps. Even in there home country, in France, they are not really known.
