I am just too poor for a secondary set up. Thats why I am running low noise in the second slot. If I really enjoy it I might make a second loadout and switch it around.
Best KV5 loadout imo is turbo, spall liner and hardening, with removed speed governor, food and large repair kit, also take fuel filter replacement. . Your getting 45 kph on hard and medium and 30 on sift terrain, with 16 ptw ratio, the spall liner lets you drop the first aid kit, the radio operatior never survives a battle anyway. Being almost 102 tonnes kitted out, you can kill pretty much anything same tier or lower with a ram.
I have been struggling with marking the KV-5. People just cut right through me most of the time and I cant really play my aggressive playstyle with it. I might give your loadout a try. If I cant get the final mark I might as well ramkill everything 😂
@TheFrXion yep, your armour doesn't work if you give people time to aim, if your hurtling towards them at over 40kph, they tend to panic and miss your many weakspots 🤣 hardening stops you getting tracked which is essential, loads of times the enemy will fire one shot into my tracks expecting to stop me but fail, then the usually try to run away 😅. There are other tricks, like reverse sidescraping to hide your r2d2 hull turret , or only side scraping around the side of the building that hides your bigger cuppola. . You can't play every game like a ram frenzy. . Its all about the timing. . My KV5 I one of the only tanks I ever bothered to get 100% mark of excellence in, still one of my favourite tanks, despite being one of my oldest ones.
Great video thanks. I suspect that the M48 Patton appeals to our American cousins whom Wargaming is trying to woo in the washup of the issue with Russia. They would not dare to delete such an historic vehicle and risk offending that user base.
The last time I played this game before quitting for good, was in these vehicles. Dunno why, it was just pure fun, with no urge to get XP for the next tank. The gun simply just works, the alpha was satisfactioning, mobility is ok. With the good DPM, and being a unique collectors vehicle that almost no one played it was a surprise for many 'new' players when they faced it. The other two were the Charioteer and the Conway, BEFORE the buffsm because no one played the tanks, so no one expected the those pesky HESH rounds with the good DPM...
The Amx 30 proto and 30b are both a lot of fun! I still dont understand why they removed them from the tech tree. The Charioteer and the Conway are insane if you use the premium HESH xD. I love the Conway, I think my Winrate is like 80% on it xD.
I would not say that all collector vehicles are obsolete, some like the T62A, yes, but not all of them. The Amx 30 line for example is still very reliable and fun. The same goes for the 113. I think Wargaming just wanted to thin out the amount of tanks that are in the game. They said that they wanted to streamline the Tech trees.
I'd rather take improved aiming than low noise system. Also I wish more people would cover collector's tanks, no one is talking about them at all.

I doubt they will remove the Patton line. A little buff would be nice though!

I would not say that all collector vehicles are obsolete, some like the T62A, yes, but not all of them. The Amx 30 line for example is still very reliable and fun. The same goes for the 113.
