Also, before Morricone, the oldest winner record was held by Charlie Chaplin (who won his only competitive Oscar - Best Original Score for LIMELIGHT - just days shy of his 84th birthday).

But maine kahi Gary Oldman ko nahi doshi tehraya hain
This is art which is biased and we should raise voice against it instead of praising it thats what i believe and because i am a proud Indian i condemn such movie which is hypothetical and do not characterises the true portrayal of that criminal Churchill instead of appealing for awards for that movie particularly if i am indian whose ancestors were oppressed because of his war crimes

Watching Blade Runner 2049 in the cinema was nothing short of a breathtaking experience that I will never forget. So many scenes where there was no music, no dialog, minimal sound effects, yet the ENTIRE audience was dead silent, closely paying attention to every little detail on the screen. I feel bad for those who did not get to watch this masterpiece on the big screen with a good sound system.

The work he did in the train robbery scene for Jesse James was breathtaking. Everything was top notch: the score, the direction, Pitt’s walk, I still think that’s his best work. Still, the man is outstanding.

I remember crying a little when everyone stood for him.
After 84 years of working with 3/4 of the first floor-level seats in that theater, they all got up, not just by absolute respect for the man's work but also because "Hey, that's Roger".
If anyone here doesn't know about Roger, he has this (really horrible looking) website where there's a public forum where he politely and patiently answers question about every aspect of his job, cinematography and working on set, etc.
He answered some questions i asked him like he was a friend i was emailing. The archives are like a gold mine if you are into photography or a hopeful future DP.
He is the most humble, accessible, generous DP and deserves the recognition from his peers, he's had everyone's respect for decades anyways but this was cool.
Plus, his work is just fucking amazing.
