When I was deciding how my planner would be designed and utilized I decided that I would have a routine with goals. We have a small homestead which comes with big time commitments and unplanned situations that need immediate attention in addition to normal life. With all of our variables I decided to leave my planner/tracker templates blank and fill them out each day. I think this is the best way for us. It leaves flexibility without the pressure to "stay on track".
