8:48 @MainlyFact thank you SO much! You literally brought tears of joy to my eyes with your shout out. I hope that no bake banana cheesecake recipe rocks your taste buds! I'm stoked to hear you're a fellow baker! You are so awesome!
I'm going to be honest, I was in an incredibly bad depression after realizing I couldn't open my bakery and decorate cakes like I had dreamt of doing since I was 14 years old. My TH-cam channel was the sliver of joy I clutched to. But it's been hard financially funding it since I'm not monetized yet. However, I think your shout out might actually push me across that goal. I'll be able to put money back into my channel and keep creating videos consistently instead of only when I could manage to afford ingredients. You have changed my life and I'll never forget you for it. You have my deepest gratitude and I honestly can't thank you enough. I wish I somehow could thank you enough. If you have any recipe requests, please feel free to ask. It's the least I could do. Thank you again. 💝

This didn’t happen to me, but it happened to my mother. She is a very kind and hard working women. She starts work at 2 in the morning and gets off at 12:45pm and still manages to take care of me (15) and my little sister (14). One day, she was stocking the displays making them look nice for when the store opened, and her boss began to try and sabotage her in order to get her fired and he continued to do this to her for weeks. She got sick of it then proceeded to tell the manager of her section about the boss guy that was giving her crap, so he confronted him but he was just relocated to a different store. I believe that same guy got cancer or some other kind of illness, karma best served, still ain’t over though. Fast forward a bit and now my mother’s coworkers were trying to sabotage her by knocking down her displays she would spend hours trying to keep in check (please note she’s comes home with bruises and cuts on her arms and legs for moving around boxes all day) to the point she lost it and snapped at them. They of course ran to the manager of her section (guy who had the boss be relocated) and she was brought up to talk to him. He began telling her she needs to apologize to her coworkers or there would be consequences. She said straight to his face: “ever notice how everything else around the store is all nice and tidy? That was me. While doing my area I also do my coworkers areas because they are just sitting on their asses and coming in late to work because they are lazy and now they are be rude to the person who is trying to keep everything under control. I’m a nice person and trying to keep everything going good while also dealing with the customers who they should be helping. So if you fire me just know this store will fall apart because your employees aren’t doing shit.” She never swears, she has to deal with me who can be a pain in the as, so she deals with a lot and she deserves so much credit due to all the stress she is under dealing with work and her family. She is an awesome mother.

This happened a few days. A friend of mine passed away a week ago and he was real close to me (important detail for later in the story). I work at a grocery store and i am the entirety of the clean up crew. I also got scheduled less hours for work, but I was expected to get everything cleaned, but with less time in the day. A few days ago, a manager was belittling me about how I didn’t clean the bathrooms well even though I had a lot of stuff to do already and the people who shop at the store can be horrible. I told my manager that I did it already and someone else must’ve used it to make it dirty again. The manager said they didn’t care what the reason is, then before she could say anymore, I cut her off. I told her, “I’m not mentally okay because I’m grieving over a friend passing and I don’t want to hear you back talk or criticize me after not doing enough work when you cut my hours. I’m going home and I can either take an absence or you can fire me, lose one of your better workers, and lose the entire cleaning crew.” I gave her my radio and walked out. I didn’t see her at work today, but I have an interview for somewhere else tomorrow, so I’m hoping I get that job

Sorry for your loss, it’s a pain to have to deal with someone close to you passing away and then having to deal with your problems at work. I hope you get that job and have some time to yourself to process your feelings and figure out a way to keep moving forward that will work well for you. Again, I’m sorry for your loss, I may just be a random person on the internet, but you should know that some people do care about things like this even if it isn’t face-to-face. At my horrible job, HR was worse than useless. Not only did they not help us out, but they worked directly for the management. If someone had a problem HR would tell management. I worked in a restaurant. I was constantly passed over for promotions. I worked in the back of the house, we were not allowed breaks. The front of the house employees were treated like god's. Not only were they allowed breaks, but management paid for them. I was worked to death. One day I wrote down every action I had taken an the times it took. They agreed no one could do what they wanted me to in the time they gave me. They told me I just needed to work faster. I turned in my two week notice that day. I knew no one there knew how to do my job, and I didn't tell them. I got my greatest gift a few weeks later when I found out they had to hire two people to replace me.

"Obviously we wouldn't want them working anyways"
Of course not. That would mean less tax money going to the group home since they have less people, which means more taxes to go to everyone else. Not to mention the income taxes that would be generated by the former residents.

Did get a $2.50 raise and a $750 sign on bonus from one of the times i threatened to quit. Doesn't hurt to ask but if you do want to leave, could get more for telling em that.

My old job was a 3d printing research place. I would print things for researchers with their materials. Then I was put in charge of testing parts printed. Then I was also put in charge of creating testing equipment too. All of this takes a lot of time so things started getting back up. Keep in mind I'm also not getting paid any more. In a bid to save cash my manager mixes up this bs evaluation that I'm the worst on the team despite having said the opposite a week prior.
So he doesn't renew my contract after I ask for further compensation.
Fast forward and I see that my job got reposted THREE times at a slowly increasing rate. So in the end he got another person who costed him 25% more than if he'd kept me. Plus there was a large gap of things not getting done while I was gone.
Oh well. Place is trash anyway.

secretly, many of the better bakeries will use box mixes. Hell the reason they exist is because they are better. Moms *loved* box mixes, and thats what they often used and what we want when its “homemade”. seriously, 90% of those chemicals are fine for you. The other 10%, other brands can be bought.

Yeah, story 8 comments are true dude. I work as a custodian at an elementary school now and I’m enjoying it so far. Have experience in custodian work but not in school and fortunately the head custodian and I both are realistic about my speed skills at the start. He knows im not going to be super fast to start but it’ll get better with time and figuring out the best route for me. But how this relates is that he doesn’t mind if we take few minutes extra to go to the bathroom or a minute or two over our break time. As long as we get stuff done and note down whatever is a problem, we are ok to do whatever

I was working part time in a warehouse to put myself through college. The my Gf got pg and college went away.
After two years was working 40+ hours with no vacation or raise. When I asked for either, I was told that because I was hired as part-time, they could work me as long as they wanted and part-timers do not get raises or vacations.
I mumble that any decent company would realize that 40 hours is full time and act accordingly.
I was told to shup up or I'd get fired.
I replied, "Who are you going to do my work under my conditions for my pay?"
An hour later they clocked me out, handed me my final check and escorted me off the business.
I got a job with a delivery company that worked with that warehouse and my former company had to hire one full-time employee at twice my pay and full benefits and two part-time employees at a strict 20-hrs-per-week with benefits at more than my former wage.
I was right! BUT, they proved a point. NO ONE is too valuable to replace and they proved that point even if it cost them more than four times my salary.

    I got a good one.
I worked at a fast food restaurant in my small town that earn a bad reputation because of the GM. She had a bad attitude and was very much a hypocritical micromanager. When I first got there, we had 20 employees, but after about 8 months we dwindled down to 12. It was so bad that she wouldn't even give us breaks and would write them off as we chose not to take them. She would refuse any of us smoke breaks but she would go outside to take a smoke break whenever she felt like it, even during rushes.
We would have high schoolers applying for part-time work and the GM, because we were so short staffed, would have them work their maximum 30 hours a week, but they were legally required to take breaks because they were minors. But after 2-3 months, they up and quit. And they'd go to school to warn others not to apply to our restaurant because of how horrible the GM was. It was always a miracle when we got new employees.
One girl 8n particular was sunshine personified. She was sweetest kid I ever worked with. She was also applying for a scholarship that required volunteering, so in her interview, she told the GM that she couldn't work weekends because she would be using that time to volunteer for her scholarship. The GM didn't schedule her on weekends for about a month, but when the schedule showed her having to work one weekend, she came up to the GM and told her she couldn't work the weekends because of her volunteering, but the GM decided to take her into the office and yell at her, calling her lazy and ungrateful for even having a job with her to begin with. It boiled down to the GM telling the girl that if she couldn't sacrifice 1 single weekend for her job, then maybe she shouldn't even work to begin with. The girl walked out of the office crying and went home. All of us heard them in the office and saw her leave. She was the last person to apply for a year.
Later that same year, my boyfriend's daughters were going to spend a whole weekend with us. Normally, I'd stay late to help the other employees with the closing tasks since they were usually short, and it always gave a few extra hours on my check. But with the girls coming over, I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. I told my coworkers the situation and they were fine with me not staying late. Someone had apparently called out and the GM told me, not asked me, but told me I had to stay late. I told I couldn't because I had the kids over for the weekend and I wanted to spend time with them. She looked me right in the eye and infront of my coworkers said, "They're not even your kids." I didn't say anything. I didn't need to. My coworkers told me I looked like I was ready to pummel her. After I clocked out, I went home and applied for another job.
After I found one, I decided to just tell the GM, not hand in a two week notice, that I was only going to be there for another week before I started my new job. She was not happy. Apparently, she told everyone on my last day that I had already quit. Which was hilarious considering they were slammed so hard that the GM had to cook in the kitchen just to get the line moving. When I arrived, all my other coworkers hit with, "We thought you already quit." I told all of them that that was my last shift. When I went to the back, GM had turned to me and just stared. She then left the kitchen and didn't even look at me for the rest of her shift.
It's been two years and I now work at another restaurant of the same chain, but this one is so much better. The other one's reputation became so bad that no one applied to work there since I had left. Even the GM quit because of how poorly it was received. They are so understaffed that they close at 3 Monday through Friday and at 5 on Saturday and Sunday. The new GM had reached out to me, desperate for someone with experience to work for him, offering me full-time hours and a dollar above minimum wage. The catch being I'd be working with less people than the last time I was there. I turned that down faster that he could blink.

I was a truck driver delivering welding supplies. My boss, whom I've mentioned before, was a Mexican who hated me because I'm white and every time he tried to tell me I was wrong about something I proved to him that I wasn't.
I had been doing the same job at the company for about 25 years at this time. I was 62 or 63, somewhere in there. He told me that if I didn't do something, (I don't remember what), that he could fire me. I told him, "If you fire me, the first thing I'm going to do on the way home is stop by the unemployment office. The day after that, I'll file for my Social Security. When I'm done with that, I go to the Veterans Administration and file for my benefits with them. Fire me PLEASE!"
Several months later HE got fired for stealing from the company, and I retired 5 years later at 67.

I used to work at a high end furniture shipping warehouse. They liked to hire a lot of temporary workers of which I was. I worked there for about 4 months before they started trying their bs with me. They tried to write me up for everything because they didn't like how I conducted myself (meaning I stand up for myself to everyone). Well one day they put a new guy on one of the big forklifts and he knocked some product off a shelf which caused me to hit it. I got pissed and was yelling at him which in my defense I do feel bad for considering he was new, but they sent me home for the day since that was procedure. I came in the next day for my regular shift, sit through the safety meeting and start getting my stuff ready to work. They walked me out. Over the next few weeks people started to leave because they knew it was bullshit. Now there's a new plant being built next to them and they are getting bought out.

I have a story where I quit so it doesn't apply but its a better story than my fire me story imo. My fire me story happened when I worked at a bread factory that provided bread to different cities in the area. The factory was in Denton TX but it provided as far as Houston & S.A. anyways on this day b4 my shift ended we had started a new trailer to Houston because the other got full. The new trailer got a bit over 1/3 full by the time we left not only did it have a paper outside labeling it as Houston but since we had to mark every stack or tray we put in on the paperwork it had The Houston paperwork outside the door as well. I was on my way home when I got a call from the supervisor wanting me & my crew to go back because the crew after us mistakenly put a bunch of stacks in there from S.A because 1 of the stacks close to the door had a S.A label that I crossed out & put Houston because we ran outta Houston labels. He wanted us to come fix their mistake so I refused & said they could fire me if they wanted to

It sucks so bad when the one you need to go to with problems is the problem. For me it was a teacher/educator at teaching college. We were suppose to have an educator whom we did not have for any classes as our consular, a person we could go and talk to if we had any issues with classes, educators, management or even other students. My class got, due to a schedueling mishap, one of the educators that we had classes with and she based all of her education on bible verse as she was both a teacher and a theologist.

I found myself completely unable to concentrate on what was being said whenever he 'zoomed in' to speak... cause I was looking at his invisible eye which the gameplay was showing through... 6:00 for example

Don't let your job destroy your body like that if you can avoid it.
I am speaking from such a high privilige since I don't live in America, and actually have some safety nets in case I had to leave an abusive job, so I know it isn't that simple, but your health is WAY more important than any shitty number on a screen...

If you think "i stopped to scratch my "bits" for 30 seconds is SH you need to be locked ina rubber room with an i-love-me jacket on. You don't even need the rats because you're already crazy. False cries of SH should be an instant fire just like SH.

Hope this isn't buried but, mainly, i think the green screen effects also somehow applies to your eyes. Your eyes seem to reflect the background gameplay (example: 15:00-15:10)

@@threestans9096 , I think it's more like the spot/ring light reflecting in his eye and the camera thinking it's more 'green' screen.
Reminds me of the old Duck Hunt trick with the Zapper. By pointing the Zapper at a bright light bulb, the Zapper "thinks" it's hitting a duck. Because the Zapper is only a camera, it looks for the white square that appears when you pull the trigger.

Just know this goes both ways you get completely lazy and useless workers who try to play the victim and don't do anything , but want to complain things are not fair. The way it works with my people is like this do your Job to the best of your ability and with pride , and you will have a boss , that gives you the freedom to goof around now and then , or leave work early. Basically, do your part, and I will do mine , No boss wants to have to babysit their workers with their jobs.
