That's a great starting song for dimash. As an American I hope he does more stuff like this simply because it's more "normy" friendly, and I think will be easy to use to introduce him to people who may not like or appreciate his usually much more operatic style. If you want a good contrast in styles check out olimpico, this dude has full command of any vocal thing he wants to do, he does basically every style of music except "country" and I'm sure he could.

He has a reported 7.2 range & he sings all genres from Opera to pop & everything inbetween. He has a worldwide fan base who travel all over the globe to see his concerts & he regularly sells out arenas. He calls his fans his Dears as, he says we are all very dear to him, like family. He is a very humble, respectful young man & never fails to thank his Dears for their support as, he says, he would have nothing to do without his audience. Oh, he also sings in 14 languages, is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. He was offered a place in the Astana Opera House but had already decided he wanted to pursue a neo-classic/crossover style which he does to perfection. Keep going, keep going!!! If this is for first Dimash, you have missed so much. He can do ANY style and this song is fun, but not even close to his vocal talent or range. What an introduction to the world of Dimash! He won several regional competitions before blowing up overnight in 2017 on China's "Singer" competition with his performance of S.O.S. He spoke Khazak and Russian at the time, but has since learned some English and Mandarin. He sings in multiple languages, last count 16. His fan base were named "Dears" by Dimash. This song is amazing and shows how much Dimash has matured and is also stretching into new genres and musical styles. That's a great starting song for dimash. As an American I hope he does more stuff like this simply because it's more "normy" friendly, and I think will be easy to use to introduce him to people who may not like or appreciate his usually much more operatic style. If you want a good contrast in styles check out olimpico, this dude has full command of any vocal thing he wants to do, he does basically every style of music except "country" and I'm sure he could.

The song that made him famous is SOS ,he sang this when he was 22 years old in China as a specially invited singer ,the youngest ever to compete there ,all well known Chinese singers .This was “I am A Singer” ,show 2017 check it out please .

As for Dimash's range, this song doesn't show his whole range. He has a reported 7.2 range & he sings all genres from Opera to pop & everything inbetween. He has a worldwide fan base who travel all over the globe to see his concerts & he regularly sells out arenas. He calls his fans his Dears as, he says we are all very dear to him, like family. He is a very humble, respectful young man & never fails to thank his Dears for their support as, he says, he would have nothing to do without his audience. Oh, he also sings in 14 languages, is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. He was offered a place in the Astana Opera House but had already decided he wanted to pursue a neo-classic/crossover style which he does to perfection. If you want to see his amazing vocal range please look for SOS, Stranger, Sinful Passion & Olimpico. You will be amazed at what he does, I'm sure.

Keep going, keep going!!! If this is for first Dimash, you have missed so much. He can do ANY style and this song is fun, but not even close to his vocal talent or range. Always different and always a surprise with Dimash. SOS, Stranger, Ikainide, gosh, so many. What first made him get internationally noticed though was a show in China called I Singer. Start there, and then enjoy going down the rabbit hole!

As you've immediately picked up, he creatively blends ALL Genres. Yes, he was trained in classical voice, but also in musical theatre, and every other contemporary music style. He is also a Master of many traditional forms of vocalisation. He is also a multi-instrumentalist and composer and sings in 16 different languages - and counting! You get the wide range in almost every performance, but he sings in more than 15 languages including Chinese and Japanese. This was obviously different from everything else.
He woke up as a super star after performing "S.O.S." on a Chinese talent competition called "The Singer" in 2017, so I think that's the best place to start. Just a week or so ago he released a quieter song, "Omir," with his 17-year-old brother Mansur on guitar while he played piano and sang. He plays at least 7 instruments, but mostly sings while someone else plays. He composed the vampire song, but usually doesn't write the lyrics due to his not quite fluent English. We fans are his Dears, and we'd love you to react to some more very soon.
He also recently performed opera with Placedo Domingo, a lifelong dream of his.

What an introduction to the world of Dimash! He won several regional competitions before blowing up overnight in 2017 on China's "Singer" competition with his performance of S.O.S. He spoke Khazak and Russian at the time, but has since learned some English and Mandarin. He sings in multiple languages, last count 16. His fan base were named "Dears" by Dimash. People who are new are going to think this is a stretch but Dimash is probably the best vocalists alive right now maybe ever.. I don't know anyone who has the range Dimash does...he likes to blend many genres together taking his training with opera and classical music and putting those elements into Pop and R&B jazzy type music, he also likes to add traditional Kazakh instrumentals in some if his music and he's incredibly humble at 29 the song that made him viral was probably S.O.S he sang it on an Chinese singing competition

This song is amazing and shows how much Dimash has matured and is also stretching into new genres and musical styles. He has done poppy stuff before (see the music video for Screaming and also Be Wth Me), but much of what he has done in his early career some call "popera", he often brings in classical aspects into his songs.
