“Self Talk First”..I love that!
My 78 yr old mom paints her house by herself and takes cases of water up 2 flights of stairs by herself to her condo. Im 58 and cant even lift that weight. Shes not an "old lady" by any means
WHY are We, as Women, SO AFRAID to call Ourselves BEAUTIFUL??? Because we were taught that it’s “Conceited” or “Vain” since Childhood? Or because we were taught that we have to wait for a MAN to tell us we’re Beautiful? And probably Countless other reasons we were taught that to look in the Mirror and see ourselves as Beautiful is somehow A FAULT instead of OUR BIRTHRIGHT as Women! I absolutely agree with Linda Hoffman in that our generation were taught as children not to be vain or conceited so we carry that baggage all through our lives, not accepting or even believing compliments, thinking we're not worthy. Thank you for giving us the confidence to say, yes we feel beautiful when we make an effort to make the best of ourselves. We are worth it.
She does look beautiful. Even before makeup which just enhanced her beauty.
I'm 60 and makeup is my therapy, and part of my self care ritual. For many reasons, I never thought I was beautiful, I'm getting better. When I turned 60 in July, I decided this year would be the beginning of my personal revolution!

Thank you Nikole. I realized a few years back that I sometimes say things to myself that I would never say to another person…so why would I do it to myself? Everyone is beautiful, everything in nature is beautiful. The only ugly I see is from the actions, hearts and minds from a few monsters and that’s mostly cause I watch a lot of true crime.

I’m 78 and have learned so much from these tutorials it is so hard to remember to curl my lashes before I apply my eyeliner I’ve been applying eyeliner first for 65 years it’s a routine that I have to break and applying the eye makeup before the foundation makes so much sense I love the eye primer but my eyeshadow is dry and flaky at the end of the day tried applying less and it still does it so now I’m going to purchase her eyeshadow I think that will solve the problem so far everything I’ve purchased has did what she says it will
We draw such hard clinical lines between "life concepts" in this country: menopause vs. child bearing years, youth vs aging, millennials vs gen Z, working vs. retiring, on and on. To the rest of the world this is all simply life, life w/ no labels. So bored w/ it all!!

She looks amazing! I’m also glad you showed your heated lash curler. I absolutely love mine. I do not like the traditional lash curlers but the heated one was a game changer for me. I’ve heard people say they don’t work but I’m not sure they are being used correctly. Maybe do a short tutorial on it. You probably have one already but maybe an updated one. Thank you for all your expertise and for making us mature women feel beautiful!
