Hallo expats, we spent five weeks of hollidays last year in Portugal in a hostel in Praia de Mira and it was fantastic. We went to the local markets when ever possible, and you got a complete meal with wine or beer for 10 Euros, even at the beach bar in Praia de Mira a small beer costs 1 Euro, the big one 2 Euros and a meal about 12 - 17 Euros if you avoid the expensive restaurants. It was very central and we drove to Porto, Braga, Obidos, Aveiro and several other places of interest, one of the best journeys ever, with the nicest people in Europe. Greetings from Hamburg
Thank you for the informative video. We are retired educators looking for a better life than in Portland, Oregon. A moderate climate and good healthcare are concerns, along with reasonable rent. After helping a new school open in Lviv, staying in Krakow for 6 weeks, and a month in Tallinn, we are flying back to PDX next week...but we can't wait to return to Europe.
