    I was quoted $179 and a wait for special order at Asurion after I called a few other places who said they couldn't even get a screen! I bought the T-7000 glue through the link and went to work and I fixed it! $36 for the screen on Amazon and I got my "special order" part the next day. Good thing too, cuz my phone screen looked like a mosaic! I'm back in business! Thanks

    Thanks! I did this repair and it went well. I have the Moto One 5G UW Ace, which is only slightly different. There is a fingerprint button you have to watch out for when taking off the rear casing. Also the cable for the battery is located in a different place. Thanks again for the wonderful detailed video.

    Thanks for this video! It showed me how to replace the broken display on my wife's phone, which I did successfully. FYI, the Ace version of this phone is very similar but has a fingerprint sensor on the back which makes some of the operations a little trickier as the back cover is tied to the phone with a relatively short cable at times during the disassembly/reassembly. But nothing I couldn't figure out. Thanks!

    Thanks for your video. Very informational. I have a question for you. I'm in the middle of replacing the screen. When i tested the screen like you did (before removing broken screen to see if new screen actually works) the picture comes on but there's no touch input. Do i have a bad screen or did i connect something wrong somewhere? Hope to hear from you soon.

    • @frenchy3912
      @frenchy3912 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes your screen is bad if there's no touch input when it's connected to the motherboard

    • @grimreaper16e
      @grimreaper16e 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For anybody reading this comment, i ordered 2 more screens and both of them did the same thing. I decided to go ahead and replace the screen even though the screen didn't work and when i was done the touch input was working fine. I guess some part of the screen had to touch the metal chassis of the phone. So my suggestion to test the screen would be to remove the old screen and put new screen in place BEFORE gluing it down.

    • @wetmath
      @wetmath 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The screen needs something firm behind it to create pressure to register the touch. If I let it lay flat in my hand I was able to get it to work, but if I was being delicate and holding it by the edges it wouldn't.

    great video. my charge port went bad so i had to replace it. But, somehow, my screen lost touch ability. So I assumed I damaged the ribbon cable when taking out the battery. I bought a new screen but it does the same. No touch to unlock. Is there some other factor in what makes a screen touch work on this phone?

    I bought the heating pad, what is the ideal temperature at 5 minutes to get the back off, on a phone that hast been removed?

    • @tylerbailey1365
      @tylerbailey1365 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So I did it. Video really helped thank you. I definitely couldn't have done it without purchasing the heating pad from your links.
      A few things I learned.
      - take the most time on removing the battery. Don't rush it make sure the phone is heated to Temp, so the glue is heated, and pry the battery down towards the phone not the battery. Don't bend it or puncture it.
      -the most important is test the screen. I did this immediately as per your video suggested and all was well. If you don't test the screen and your phone doesn't work you lost.
      - the heating pad should be heated to at least 90° C in order for the back or the screen to come off easily.
      -make sure you have a glove to protect your hand from your phone if it gets too hot.
      -if you're replacing your screen like I did, buy the little frame also. When I went to go take the screen off I also took off the frame but unfortunately I took the frame off in pieces so I had to glue it back on, I realized I put it on upside down and then I had to re-glue it. If I would have had a replacement frame I could have just used that instead.
      I'm using my phone now to type this comment the screen works all is well. The only issue I had was the frame it's a little botched but it gets covered up by my phone case so it doesn't bother me. My screen is not cracked in my phone works, now I know how to do this so it was worth it.

    Remember what we are here for. We are people who have cracked out screens and we just want to know if replacing the lcd is easy to do. We don't want to spend 18 minutes watching a video that isn't easy to skip through. Haha especially because if you skip too far you start talking about changing just the glass and how difficult it is.

    Video is way too long. I'm pretty sure you go over how to replace screen and lcd and you also go over replacing just the glass which makes the whole video longer and more confusing. You should have made a separate video for it. And stop talking about the customer. We don't want to see your face. You should go back and edit your videos in the future and not subject us to your long talking about a bunch of things. Get to what we want. People don't have time to listen to all the extra BS.
