As the composer of this piece, I'm delighted to see this excellent recent performance! And I'm equally delighted by the enthusiastic comment from an elementary music teacher. This is just the kind of feedback that John Lithgow and I received when we performed this piece together with several orchestras many years ago. I invite interested viewers to look at a new version elsewhere on TH-cam titled "The Remarkable Sparkle McBride". Besides reinforcing the idea that girls can grow up to be conductors too, the new version has some rewriting with some more adventurous 20th century music examples. Whether performed as Farkle or Sparkle, I'm really pleased to see this piece gaining a new life!
