This was honestly so hard for me. IT is my favorite player and that will NEVER change. Love my celtics but Isaiah winning a ring would mean the world to me. I honestly didn't like the trade tbh considering how much Isaiah gave to the franchise. Sure, Kyrie is good and all, but he demanded a trade from cleveland, whose to say maybe next year he's "not happy" with us in BOston? IT was all in. Showed loyalty from day one. The way Ainge did him was wrong. Hopefully Isaiah can win a ring and be Finals MVP. Don't like Lebron lol, but if he wins another on the back of Isaiah, then that'll keep me happy haha

He'll get a very warm reception when he comes back to Boston on 1/3. I'd be there if I could to cheer for him even though he'd be introduced as a Cav.

Its so crazy to see the behind the scenes of trades and how they effect the players and their families. As fans we take it at face value and just think, "oh, so they're playing on a new team, cool", however that then means that the player has to uproot them and their family and move to a completely different city. It's so crazy and kind of cool-blooded for Danny Ainge to do what he did, but I just hope IT can fit in in Cleveland and get back to where he was.

Yeah, it’s sad, but it’s also a business. Teams have to do what they have to do, regardless of feelings. In the end though, I feel like this is good for both teams. Boston that young star they wanted, IT gets the chance for a ring, doesn’t/didn’t have to force himself back from injury, and gets to play with the best player in the league.

Literally saw it as a kid. moving is tough for them since, somehow you can't build childhood friendships as easily as someone who is there for the long term. There's an argument that the kids do not need to move, and that is another problem coming out, which their dads can't be there with them all season long.

Every true Celtics' fan was hurt by that trade. IT meant the world to us. And after all that he'd been through. I wouldn't have done it but that's what made GM Danny Ainge special. He had the moxy to go through with the trade. I hope IT gets his Brinks truck. He deserves it.
