this is a whole new direction for me from what you're all used to. I know I've been pretty serious in the past, but I'm a huge weirdo inside, and this song is only the start of this new journey. I feel like I've finally found the courage and creativity to express the real me. The whole re-brand, the weird quirky vocals, the "rapping". well... pretty good time to release this song I guess :D Definitely had no political agenda or thought when I wrote it though. the lyrics couldn't be more perfect for this election though. It was initially my letter to all those friends in my life who love to show off how great they are, by effectively bringing my worth down. We've all had those "friends". In reality... they have nothing to show for themselves. Just another insecure person who wasted their whole life trying to fit in and impress others, but needs to bring you down to feel like they're worth anything. This is to them... next time someone like that brings you down, just blast this song.
