Biologist here. The eye-bone thing is a real thing. It's called a sclerotic ring. It's common in birds, reptiles and fish. It provides additional support to the eye in animals that live in extreme environments, in this case probably wind pressure and g-forces associated with flying. Pterosaurs here on earth often had them.
how about him sharing the same genome as his brother? Wouldnt that be impossible since the building blocks that make up our DNA are all different/unique?

it's a reference to a zen teaching, where a professor goes to a monk named Nan-in to study him. Nan-in begins by pouring them both tea. As he poured, the professor’s cup became full, but Nan-in kept on pouring. As the professor watched the cup overflow, he could no longer contain himself and said, “It is overfull. No more will go in!” Nan-in turned to the professor and said, “Like the cup, you are too full of your own opinions and speculations. How can I show you Zen unless you first empty your cup?”
That's how I interpreted it. Humanity's cup is "full" because they think they know everything, but it doesn't apply to Pandora and how to properly deal with the moon and its people. If humans in 2150 or whatever are still mining natural resources for fuel instead of being completely renewable (surely our already viable green tech now would be refined, widespread, and affordable almost 130 years from now?) then the issue is really with how humans are dealing with their problems.
"In order to taste your cup of water, you must first empty your cup. My friend, drop all of your preconceived and fixed ideas and be neutral. Do you know why this cup is useful? Because it is empty." - Bruce Lee
It could also be that it's dangerous in the long run, so in order to not over-stress the million-dollar avatar bodies and their delicate nerual pattern, they try to do as controled a disconnect as possible. I thought of it like turning off your computer by ripping the power cord out of the outlet instead of shutting it down normally.
I'm surprised he didn't sin the fact that the navi arrows were able to pierce the regular flying vehicle cockpits during the final battle, while during the destruction of Hometree the arrows barely made a scratch.
I suppose you could argue that during the battle of hometree they were firing upwards at essentially hovercraft. Air and gravity were working against them. Final battle was more even footing, banshee momentum, shit maybe even the air was thinner at that altitude.
@@kaia9969 Also, remember the arrows where like 50% bigger, or give how this was a "Last stand", they probably used obsidian-like materials for the tips.
That's mostly because during home tree destruction, they were firing bottom up under the huge rotors blowing heavy wind, which may have slowed the arrows down.
@@anirudhpuranik5222 Not by that much. The energy required to penetrate armored vehicles (even if it's lightly armored flying vehicles) is so immense that a minor height difference will have a negligible impact.
Jeremy, being brightly colored can be evolutionarily advantageous for those that have already stricken fear into the hearts of potential predators. The colorful spinning bug is likely either poisonous or at least mimicking a poisonous species, warning others not to eat it. Of course, the real explanation is that the cinematographer thought that it would look pretty, but there are actual evolutionary explanations as well. Also, why was the Papa Dragon joke removed? That was the highlight of the previous sins video.
I also thought of the deep sea case, where you glow to draw attention to yourself because that might mean a larger predator is gonna come to eat the thing that's eating you. Which would lead the initial predator to leave :p
Yup. As the saying goes... if an animal in the wild is not trying to hide... then it's not afraid you. You really want to find out why before getting close.
Small correction! Toruk was especially chasing Jake already in the scene where he rides Bob (yes that's his first banshees name) with Neytiri, meaning Toruk had already chosen him and was trying to kill him :D Which is why he specifically followed Jake and also explain why Jake was able to tame it
If we're going for realty, why not go into their country like Columbus DISCOVERED America: kill them off with diseases and war and TAKE their country from them. Isn't that what the movie's really about?
Note how high Toruk is flying now, making damn sure that nobody is ever going to get the drop on him again! As for why there are so few people who have ridden one, I assume it's that so few have ever felt that it was necessary. I feel like they respect the natural order enough not to tame one just to tame one.
Idk, their society must be in it's infant stage because they only have 4 fingers, so it makes sense that no one figured out hunting yet, also, Deus ex eyuhwa. "It is hard to fill a cup which is already full" isn't meant to imply humans know everything, it means we don't have an open mind/what we think is set in stone and won't change
But surely therefore lidded cup makes more sense? If teaching is the filling then surely a full cup implies they either know everything or are literally incapable of learning more, which is not how brains work. If they mean humans are unwilling to learn then again, a lidded cup makes more sense.
One thing I never understood is how avatars help to establish friendship with natives. Imagine if aliens would arrive at Earth and they will use cloned humans bodies to communicate with humanity. It would be freaky as hell and it would feel unethical from our point of view, since clones are made into puppets
They did that so the Na'vi people might have an easier time accepting them. Im thinking the humans thought if they could look like them, talk like them, and learn their culture, then they will be able to earn their trust.

Sin 78 at 14:25. Maybe it wasn't actually dangerous to interrupt a link in progress but Norm thought if he told Quaritch it is then Quaritch wouldn't pull the plug? He just didn't realize that Quaritch wanted them dead anyhow. Since none of them showed ill effects, it obviously wasn't harmful and Norm would have known that.
It could be one of those deals where severing the connection will just cause disorientation 9 times out of 10, but it carries a risk of initiating a fatal stroke or something. So, even if you don't see negative effects, that doesn't mean it wasn't dangerous. Like the guy that used to hang from precarious heights to get selfies/videos. He did it a lot of times without getting hurt, but it only took once for him to slip and die. Didn't matter how many times he suffered no injuries, it was always dangerous.
Sigourney Weaver's character is still the best thing about this movie. She actually felt interesting and nuanced and had a reason to care for the planet more than the lead did. Looking back, I'm still certain my annoyance with this film is how they try to conflate being idyllic and together (at least for now) as interesting, when it really isn't. Which is why I hope that "Way of Water" will change that. I want to be more interested in the Na'vi than I am, and perhaps brining some conflict among them will help that.
From the trailers I've seen, it looks like they are going to lean harder into the idea that it is a paradise, which, I agree, is unrealistic and kind of dull. Clearly there had to be some sort of issues between the tribes given the emphasis Jake put on needing to have Toruk for them to listen (if they were all friendly, you'd think the destruction of such an important tree would have already been enough for every Na'vi on the planet to join them). Unfortunately, I feel like they are going to bring humans back as the enemy instead of delving into the tribalism.
@@SgtSupaman Well, that is going to be disappointing, I'll tell you that. Eh, no worries, plenty of other good stuff around. Eywa actively assists the Nav'i by sending the creatures of the forests and the skies to help fight, without Eywa, the Nav'i would have lost.
@@Gamer_G33k what’s even more interesting is that the concept of eywa happened because so many connections exist through the plant life that it has created an artificial intelligence/higher being. @@SgtSupaman I haven’t read the recent release but the week before release of avatar way of water a comic series/graphic novel series came out that details the 10 years that happened between the two movies (originally was a script for the second movie but got scrapped) and supposedly features the conflicts and politics of the Na’Vi
I think the only reason why interrupting a link could be dangerous is because they dont know what the avatar body is doing and its possible that the avatar body might die depending on the situation they're in (like climbing for example, the interruption could cause the body to fall and possibly die) thats the only reason I think its "very dangerous"
I watched one of the videos of avatar's comic book when it shows how Jake managed to tame the Toruk, it wasn't easy and Jake had to explain that he needed it help to save Pandora and they had to work together, then the Toruk agreed to help.

Got the extended version in dvd and saw it, but it still leaves me womdering if they got a human-like reproductory system or through the braid connection Eywa gets the female pregnant
@@ericsito52 My assumption would be that they have dedicated reproductive organs and that connecting the braids is more for pleasure or connection. If not, then I'm not sure what all of the interspecies connections would be called, but by our standards probably not good.
@@ericsito52 I once bought an official photo book with explanations. They have a mammal reproduction system incl genitalia. The neuronal braid works like a booster amplifier for the sensation.
Connecting their braid ends (the Tsaheylu) is just more for intimacy and personal connection, just as it functions for everything else they connect to. Its them becoming "one" truly in a sense. They have dedicated genitalia similar to humans and would use those for sex.
The fact that Tsu'tey was actually Neytiri's former betrothed instead of her brother, but I can one hundred percent get how Cinema Sins could make that mistake, is probably a sin on its own.
I never got why the scientist lady was so agressive to Jake. She is lucky there was a identical twin brother to the dead scientist. That they got someone with the exact same DNA for their DNA specific avatar. They could have got a much worse person. If there wasn't a identical twin brother, the avatar was worthless. It'd have had to be liquidated. At best.
I wish people criticizing this plot remembered that ewya speaks to the clan through every living thing, including the Toruk, meaning ewya knew Jake was the person that could help the Na’vi, and basically vouched for him to the omaticaya
One theory I've read for Jake's apparent sudden change of heart and going "full native" is that as he connected with the various creatures and finally the magic tree, it essentially brain washed him and made him loyal to the Na'vi and the planet. He thought it was his own free will, but he really had his mind changed for him. But you know what? I don't care if the story is derivative and full of plot holes, it's still a great movie.
@@tonolinus It has been a couple years since I've watched the movie, but I think the story establishes that there is an energy crisis on Earth which is why the unobtanium has become so immensely valuable since it can generate great amounts of energy.
8:56 Over design is a common cliché in SciFi movies. Artists nearly always design alien creatures with far too many complications. Just once I'd like to see an animal that was smooth and simple instead of being overly colorful with too many eyes and appendages.
how many creatures on earth are smooth and simple? fishes reflect light, tigers are orange white and black, horses are HUGE and usually come in colours that don't match their backgrounds(green plains, beige deserts etc), wolves are furry and most of them don't match their surroundings, creatures rarely need to be smooth and simple, even snakes have intricate patterns
This is one of if not my favorite movies. I cant wait for Way of Water and I love the criticisms. My biggest is how slow it can be at times but the animals, plants, environment and all round scenery is worth the long ass run time. Love this movie so so glad you redid this video. I love your vids
The bit leading up to the Deus Eywachina reminded me of the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon where they're playing checkers, Calvin makes a move and Hobbes jumps most of his pieces. Calvin says that Hobbes has fallen into his trap, to which Hobbes replies that Calvin's one remaining piece must have had one heck of a strategy. Tl;dr Were the Na'vi just smearing themselves over the baddies' war machines to get Eywa to decide to pull their nuts out of the fire?
Because already, getting very basic radio signals to and from Mars (which is just across the street in terms of space) takes an entire day at minimum. Pandora is light-years away, and orbiting a gas giant. It would take possibly years to get there, not even accounting for the fact that you'd have to wait for Earth to not be blocked by the sun, the gas giant to not block Pandora by the time it gets there, and for the people on Pandora to be listening for communications, as well as have the receiver pointed in the right direction to pick it up.
Add another sin for "Pandora's atmosphere is so toxic to humans" when Trudy's VTOL flies around with the bay doors open and she's not wearing an oxygen mask.
1:45 Or maybe she's angry because she lost the perfect candidate for the mission who might have also been a friend at that point considering he trained for 3 years for the mission and she is not forced to work with someone who has no clue what hes doing?
"its hard to fill a full cup" is a reference to chinese zen saying concerning being prepared to learn/listen: Scholar Tokusan--who was full of knowledge and opinions about the dharma--came to Ryutan and asked about Zen. At one point Ryutan re-filled his guest's teacup but did not stop pouring when the cup was full. Tea spilled out and ran over the table. "Stop! The cup is full!" said Tokusan. "Exactly," said Master Ryutan. "You are like this cup; you are full of ideas. You come and ask for teaching, but your cup is full; I can't put anything in. Before I can teach you, you'll have to empty your cup."
I’ve heard that story before! That makes sense. But why would Mo’at know about a human doctrine? I like the one Jeremy suggested: “it’s hard to fill a lidded cup”. But then to Na’vi have lids?
My step dad passed away in February...he loved this movie so much and couldn't wait for the sequel to come out...but sadly lost his battle before he got that chance.

An oxygen mask for breathing in space wouldn't help. The pressure differential would burst your lungs and kill you. You need a pressure suit (ie a spacesuit) to survive in the vacuum of space (you can survive for up to 20 seconds if you expel all the air in your lungs, as shown in TV shows such as The Expanse, and also in movies like 2001: A Space Odyseey etc, but simply putting on a mask will not work).
10:49 Often sexual selection and natural selection at odds. Consider the peacock's tail, favoured by the hen and the fox. Or the giraffe's neck, favoured by the cow and also by heart attacks. My guess is the spinning creature's display is a result of sexual selection. Alternatively, it could be a way of drawing attention of others of his species as a warning, or perhaps they are usually in a flock, like a school of fish. Lastly, never forget The Panda's Thumb. Evolution doesn't do perfect. It does Good Enough.
Er, giraffe necks are not an example of sexual selection. They evolved to access uncontested food sources. And they don't have heart attacks very often

The movie explains that when they connect their Queues its like connecting neural pathways. The animal and Na'vi become one, both in control, they can feel each others breathing, heartbeat, their pain. And since Na'vi focus on harming nature as little as possible, these animals are never mistreated, and the banshees are allowed to roam, they are only used when called Also Neytiri is being literal about making the bow from hometree, after the dream hunt ritual (which actually much deeper and has to do with psychedelics but was removed from the movie) the person going through thr ritual has become "one of the people" and can take a branch from hometree (the tree they all live in) and make a hunting bow from it 😁 Oh and Na'vi DO mate with their tails 😂 that scene was also deleted, but you can look it up i believe I know all of these are jokes and such but i actually love this movie and will take the opportunity to share some deeper information about it

Plot contrivances aside, I find Avatar to be a fun watch. But the one thing I can't get my head around is how the distance between Earth and Pandora actually impacts the whole operation. How long does it take to get a message to Earth? And if it takes almost 6 years to get to Pandora, how are supply orders and personnel transfers handled in a timely manner? Sigourney Weaver's character had been waiting 6 years for Jake's brother, and Norm, to show up? A shipment of Unobtainium takes 6 years to get back to Earth... so how exactly is it marketed and sold as a resource? If a manufacturer has to wait six years for a shipment of raw material, how do you profitably develop and manage a product that has a six-year time delay before going to market, especially in a world that must already be engulfed in volatile financial chaos because of the issues and shortages caused by environmental challenges? And if on Pandora one needs to order supplies, or recruit and hire someone for a specific position... which requires ridiculously expensive delivery costs... only to have project parameters altered 3 years into the shuttle flight because of cancellations or shifts due to changes in corporate planning ... how the heck can you efficiently run a business schedule with so much time lag? Does anyone have any insight on how this is supposed to work?

I just saw another comment that implied that Jake had to argue with it that he needed it's help for the na'vi, so maybe just landing on it's back isn't the whole deal.
@@pjtheninja357 In the movie they say that Toruk chose the previous Toruk Makto, so I wonder if Toruk just flew down and landed for the previous 5 like the banshee taming ritual, and Jake is the first to do what he did.
The Navi don't treat the ikran like other animals. They revere the banshees and respect them on another level. They respect nature as a whole, of course, but the banshees are precious to them. They don't tame the ikran just to tame them because they can, it's considered a rite of passage. The movie even makes a big deal of explaining this, as Neytiri stresses that an ikran will only ever have one rider its entire life, and that in order to "tame" an ikran, it has to choose you, which it does so by trying to kill you. The bond between a rider and ikran is special, and not something that can be forced just because someone wants a bigger ikran. If you pay attention during Toruk's first appearance, he actually focuses on Jake almost exclusively. He chases Neytiri and Jake, yes, but the few times where Jake and Neytiri briefly split up, Toruk chooses to go after Jake, which is a subtle bit of foreshadowing showing that Toruk did actually choose Jake there. Their confrontation was just postponed for later. In other words, it's not that no one ever figured out how to tame Toruk, it's that very few people were ever actually chosen by Toruk, and even fewer lived to tell the tale. It's entirely likely that Toruk could have chosen many riders over the years, but that only five people before Jake were chosen, then actually managed to survive long enough to make the bond with Toruk.

Obviously if you destroy one of, if not both of the front engines, the shuttle will pitch down due to a sudden loss of thrust. It would not be tough to predict the outcome of destroying any particular engine on the shuttle.

9:48 Flux Vortex makes perfect sense if you've taken some advanced science classes, of any kind. Electromagnetic flux is a thing, and Vortex is just like, powerful swirling winds, like a hurricane or something... So, a "Flux Vortex" translates to Electromagnetic storm, that's going to break anything that runs on Electricity. 20:55 this isn’t exactly said in the movie but even if a Na’vi does get to bond with the big mango dragon, “toruk” will most likely not obey that Na’vi, since it would only follow the strongest of warriors with purest intentions, reason why this would convince the Na’vi that Jake’s intentions were true this time

7:50 I think what Mo’at meant isn’t that humans are already “full of knowledge” as in full of intelligence, but avatars, who are mostly scientists, are all too blinded by literal knowledge so- for example if Mo’at tried reaching an avatar about the energy through trees to comunícate with Eywa, most humans probably would answer its just some biochemical reaction with idk the science of it, Jake isn’t a scientist so it doesn’t give him that extra obstacle scientists would have to get over to fully understand the Na’vi

The cup metaphor definitely makes sense. The cup is already full; it’s just not filled with anything useful.
Yeah, his statement that it would imply "humans already know everything" would suggest that a full cup contains all the liquid in the world...
it's a reference to a zen teaching, where a professor goes to a monk named Nan-in to study him. Nan-in begins by pouring them both tea. As he poured, the professor’s cup became full, but Nan-in kept on pouring. As the professor watched the cup overflow, he could no longer contain himself and said, “It is overfull. No more will go in!”
Nan-in turned to the professor and said, “Like the cup, you are too full of your own opinions and speculations.
Because it is empty."

I always assumed that when norm said “it’s very dangerous” he was just lying to try to stop quarritch from taking jake out of the avatar body
My assumption was that they PRESUMED it would cause damage - as in, they'd never done it before because it MAY cause an issue
I assumed it meant that now the Avatar body is lying comatose somewhere unprotected.

Could also be to attract mating partners
And also, the majority of life on pandora is bioluminescent so, even bright blue creatures are hard to see
Something glowing and spinning could confuse potential predators

The eye bones are a reference to certain birds, who have similar structures to allow the eyes to be more precise
Some marine reptiles like Icthyosaurs had them as well.
If we're going for realty, why not go into their country like Columbus DISCOVERED America: kill them off with diseases and war and TAKE their country from them. Isn't that what the movie's really about?
Sclerotic rings are common to pretty much most modern vertebrate groups, save for mammals, we lost them over time.
Honestly nobody gives a shit. This move was terrible
It's to support high pressure when flying or swimming in the case of fishes and marine reptiles
Note how high Toruk is flying now, making damn sure that nobody is ever going to get the drop on him again! He just didn't realize that Quaritch wanted them dead anyhow. Since none of them showed ill effects, it obviously wasn't harmful and Norm would have known that.
It’s dangerous for the avatar not the human
It could be one of those deals where severing the connection will just cause disorientation 9 times out of 10, but it carries a risk of initiating a fatal stroke or something. So, even if you don't see negative effects, that doesn't mean it wasn't dangerous. Like the guy that used to hang from precarious heights to get selfies/videos. He did it a lot of times without getting hurt, but it only took once for him to slip and die. Didn't matter how many times he suffered no injuries, it was always dangerous.
Maybe it's dangerous because you leave behind a volnurable comatose body.
I think the only reason why interrupting a link could be dangerous is because they dont know what the avatar body is doing and its possible that the avatar body might die depending on the situation they're in (like climbing for example, the interruption could cause the body to fall and possibly die) thats the only reason I think its "very dangerous"

Tomorrow is the 10th anniversary of this legendary channel…
My dad was weirdly obsessed with this movie, I think he watched it like 20 times. I haven't watched a movie more than once or twice since I was a child lol
It's because of neytiri, it's understandable
I was sad when the movie ended because I wanted this to be my life... I've only watched Avatar like 2-3 times but I've seen "Predators" literally a hundred times.,
I think I did 8 times imax 3d and 4 times since then on my 3dtv 🤓
@@pjtheninja357 I still don't know how Predators wasn't the movie that brough the franchise back. It's way the movies that followed.
watched it once in the theaters. It's pretty forgettable. Pretty, but forgettable. It's my issues with 3d movies like this. I felt the same way about Gravity. Yeah it was a fun ride, but 2 hours later you can't remember a damn thing about the movie.
They're allowed to watch someone being pushed into a retort. But no crematory has a glass door. 😅

The way Jake becomes Toruk Makto seems like something the Na’Vi tribe woulda been figured out but ok plot only 5 did it 😂
No, because while they are one with nature, they are quite stupid sometimes, you see, which is why they are totally going to be worth following in the future. Just wait til we see more short sighted stupidity, but with water now.
@@AlphaOmega08922 I like that more than my theory.
12:14 Sclerotic Ring, lots of reptile groups and dinosuars had or have these eye bones. Off hand, I know I've seen it in ichthyosaur and mosasaur skeletons.
Okay, I have a problem with the sun ata about 23:30. He claims “it is military-grade levels of bullshit that Jake could predict that taking out this engine would cause the bombs to slide back inside the shuttle.” Unfortunately, it’s plain common sense which engine you would have to destroy to get a result like that. Obviously if you destroy one of, if not both of the front engines, the shuttle will pitch down due to a sudden loss of thrust. It would not be tough to predict the outcome of destroying any particular engine on the shuttle.
as an aviation enthusiast, it made me very mad when the TRAINED GENERAL of the military told his fleet to break formation at the slightest sign of an enemy
FEEL as an A&P dating a pilot the aviation in this movie hit closer to the mark than most but was still off
I don’t even understand aviation at all but that even made me mad

14:24 I love how "Zoom, enhance" is usually a cliché but here it's fairly realistic.
This isn't CSI where they've got 2020's-level AIs in 2008.
By 2150, these enhancing softwares are going to be such an old tech that I'm honestly surprised humans are using something so primitive in this movie
But why do they have to enhance anyway? By that time all cameras would have a standard resolution of 20k minimun.
It doesn't matter how advanced it is, it's still the camera making up details that it never actually caught.
Amazing video of the 10 year resins of the first avatar movie before cinemasins can sins the avatar way of water too, fantastic job.
The eye bone thing was inspired by Pterosaurs. They’re called sclerotic rings and animals such as birds and fish still have them. Mosasaurs had it too it’s pretty cool 😩
I love how you kept calling Toruk different names and describing him differently! My favorite was mango dragon! 🤣
Oh, and that bit about how Grace died years ago!
MANGO DRAGON
Copying my comment from the original video (minus stuff that's only relevant to that one):
Even if the movie is kinda just alright, I saw it in theaters and let me tell you: it was beautiful. It was definitely the best way to experience it for sure. It's a very pretty film and I'm really excited to see the sequel! I remember when we watched this in theaters that someone had a seizure during one of the intense parts near the end, so they stopped the movie and gave everyone a free ticket for another one. Pretty wild stuff.
I gotta say, I'm just a little disappointed that a, "...Jake..from State Farm" bit wasn't thrown in there 🤣🤣
Honestly don’t think I’ve seen a blockbuster have such strong word of mouth during its first theatrical run yet still receive regular and often intense criticism on social media.
I don’t care how many sins it gets, it won’t make me any less excited for the sequel
Same
Those 2 things are unrelated

It’s not meant to make you less excited. These guys love some of the movies they’re the hardest on. This is a comedy channel lol
You seem to be forgetting that cinema sins aren't critics
They're assholes
Watch your movie fam it was a good one and i hope to see next one too
I don't remember liking this movie when it first came out. But I watched it the other day and it was pretty good!!
I can't speak for Marines, but in the Navy, Dragon Lady is the infamous barber at boot camp in Great Lakes. She earned her name because of her wild hairstyle and aggressive approach to buzz cuts.
Isn't "Dragon Lady" a nickname for the U2 spy plane?
If you actually talk to her, she actually says that the nickname is hurtful but she doesn't tell many people that.
The 'full cup' metaphor as you described it works perfectly. It's literally "We're humans so we know everything so you can't teach us anything."
""You got one hour, unless you want your girlfriend to caught in the axe"-Parker
How does Parker know anything about Neytiri? Another sin there.

Yeah a line from one of the worse movies of all time. That line in context is way worse because the federation was in a war for survival and in desperate need of resources because the loss of life would be in the hundreds of billions. Also the people the federation were trying to relocate were not even the plants native inhabitants.
And while in theory you could shield a computer from the EM interference, there's external sensors that need to be exposed, and those would stop working.
What it is makes sense, the fact that it's there, not so much.
My dad helped work on the theme park part for this movie. They need the time to not only make the movie but also the build the park. 😪 he said he loved it and thought it was a really fun project.
5:12 I don't play video games but even I spot an obvious expositional NPC when I see one.

I agree wholeheartedly. Pandora at Animal Kingdom is incredible. I absolutely recommend you stay there until dark. Pandora at night is mind-blowing.
2:53 Unobtainium? Was that discovered in the desert of Utah by Dr Ed "Braz" Brazzelton in 2003?
4:58 that’s exactly what I’m saying that’s like literally all he talks about, but it doesn’t change the fact that I love the movie
19:57 It's over, Toruk! I have the high-ground!!!
Umm, Tsu Tey is definitely not Neytiri's brother. He was supposed to be her mate until Jake changed the plot. So the part about them trusting each other does have a context in the sense of the storyline. Also he conveniently sacrificed himself so as to eliminate the possibility of any love triangle.
6:57 it is sadly not said in the movie due to time but the Thanator, or also known as big pandora cat, alongside a lot of other animals in pandora has a shell like skin alongside most of his body, except some parts of its belly. That’s why shooting it would be useless, the bullets would just go boing
Absolutely loving the 10 year re sins. Cant wait to see dark knight rises resinned.

I always was bothered by the fact they’re able to clone alien bodies no transfer consciousness into them but they can make jakes legs work?
They can, it's just too expensive to be covered under the VA for everyone, apparently. Near the end, Jake is told he's been approved for the surgery (I guess because he's important now?).
@@corinnsolara9821 Jake was approved because he did a good job on the mission, its a purely political thing. The military commander said he could pull some strings, and apparently he did. Not enough to overcome the power of boners, but at least they tried...
He states in the alternate opening scene that it was entirely too expensive, "Not on VA benefits, not in this economy". I like that opening intro for him more, because for me it really drives home just how little he has left on Earth, besides the death of his brother.
