I know this is a sick storyline but just maybe just maybe that maya was serious about Jacob and that she wasn’t messing him about that dating David was a cover up so nobody found out about her & Jacob, maya really cared about Jacob and him for her. It may have been a grooming storyline but they must of made it a twisted one cuz half the scenes I see that it was actual love between the two
