I got a similar box last month! I really had trouble with those soft plastics in my area... they were way too big (even for the decent sized rock bass we get here in the st. lawrence). The bladed jigs got lots of interest but no takers for me. Great video, thanks Leo!
I know this is nitpicky, but harvestmen (common name "daddy long legs"), which this is, are there own thing, not a spider at all. Spiders have a cephalothorax (combination head/thorax) and an abdomen, whereas harvestmen have only one main body part. Interestingly, there IS such thing as a "daddy long legs spider," which is, in fact, a spider. Both are arachnids, though.
Uhh...I just said that. It's not a spider, and I explained why. I also explained that there is a kind of spider, oddly enough, called a 'daddy longlegs spider,' which is very much a spider. But yes, that which we most commonly refer to as a daddy longlegs is a harvestman (not a spider) for the anatomical reasons I already explained.
Leo, i was just thinking, i don't see you catch crappie very often, and knowing how you love panfish i was wondering if you ever target them. Would be awesome to see you do some crappie fishing! That info and tips would definitely be a plus. Tight lines!
Crappie is a tough subject for my local fishing community, Snapper. That is because most public, land based spots for Crappie have been already overfished. And being a TH-camr, I always need to be very considerate about the local fishing community... Hah. I don't believe in the concept of spot burning, which is why I always reveal where I go to. However, when picking bodies of water to put on TH-cam, I always need to take in consideration the damage that social media will do to it. After all, there is a difference in filming a video in a catch-and-release small pond, and a lake with nice fish and limited access. That being said, I will try my best to bring more Crappie fishing here on the Channel; however, the spots that I know of that hold 12-16 inches Crappie will remain off camera for the sake of the community... Freaking out about a "Daddy Long Legs?" They are harmless..:) But excellent point about the "Private" vs. high pressure public fishing. I Always go back to the farm pond after an ego bruising day on one of the local river/streams! Although learning the local accessible by foot places and having more and more success. A theme...leave the boat and private easy pickins behind.
Hey Leo! I just started to get into fishing and my dad and I have been fishing a river called the North Saskatchewan River which is a popular place to fish here in Edmonton (Canada). I caught my first ever fish there but I never caught one ever again! I mean I know it's the worst time to fish right now 'cause it's so hot but come on 😂. Do you have any tips? P.S. (The most common fish are walleye, pike, goldeye, and whitefish)

I got the Fin Commander pair a few months ago. Only plastic I've ever caught anything on. I've caught my first crappie ever on them, in a place that they shouldn't be, to shallow. I plan on getting more.
Extreme food fishing channel? Also do you like single hooks better or trebles better on crank baits? I like singles better they get snagged way less are way easier to unhook fish an fish stay on better than with trebles I lost so many fish on trebles barely any on singles.

It does get very grassy around there. What I'd recommend is some live minnows if you are ever fishing there without lures. Something they haven't seen

Quite a fan of panfishing I've bagged about 5 gills over 10 inches, a crappie that was 13.5 and one that was over 15 inches 😃
