Wendy is an amazing singer and it's so unfortunate she is not allowed to show us her full potential more often. She is way too good of a singer to be hidden most months of the year only to come out once in a blue moon to surprise us with her beautiful, unmatched talent.
Technically, Wendy is the best main vocal in this generation. Shes got a good head voice, she can sing the low note easily. Wendy is a soprano, but she can hit her lowest note(F#3) easily and doin that great. That's why she's the best. Shes one of the most developed lower register and head voice in KPOP even tho shes rarely resonant.
The thing that struck me the most about this performance is that, unlike most other covers of this song, she chose to go more of the ballad route rather than the usual rock style. I feel that this was a smart decision bc not only does it suit her velvety voice and usual style of singing more, it also adds her own flavour to this song as it brings out the "sad" side of the song rather than the "powerful" side like most other covers. I love you wendy!
