The grandmother actress, I don't know who she is but she deserves an Oscar. Excellent just plain perfect.
To be honest this drama taught me the importance of a mother. She wasn't doing it for herself she was doing it for her daughter. Our mothers do everything for their kids just to see them happy because their happiness rests in our happiness. We all need to stop being blind and understand that mothers hold the highest and most important rank in our lives and are a blessing. Ask those who don't have mothers and you'll see how much it hurts. I've never told my mom this but I love her

I really can understand the character of Eunsu. I can relate her feelings. All we want is to be with our mom by our side, taking care of each other and live happily together.
I cried. I understand how the daughter felt, it was hard for her, and the mother has to give her daughter a nice life that she didn't had. In the end the mother only wants her daughter to stay as her child. The ending is actually very heart warming for me, knowing that they become close as mother and daughter though her mother is sick. I didn't think she died, she just wanted to feel the warmth being with her daughter. I learned something so I'm happy.

It was a beautiful story of the relationship between a mom and her daughter. I love the story, tears came out from my eyes, but it was a realization that we have to honor and love our parents, as well as the children.

I love this kind of movie. It makes us rethink of our life again. Through this I realize that sometimes we have to be selfish, wheather you like it or not. Our world is selfish. "Everything is okay in the end, if its not okay then its not the end", I believe that this story has its own ending.Just be creative people, create your own ending.

The ending is mother died surrounded by people who loved her. After she died, the girl and the family went their own separate way. She felt awkward living with them and didn’t want their money. The grandmother decided not to live with her son in another country instead she lives with the granddaughter, cooking and caring for her. Granddaughter became a successful business woman and opened a retirement center where her grandmother eventually passed away. She never dated anyone because she puts her focus on building her business. One day she heard from her brother in law that his father has passed away. She met with him, comforted him, and they once again fell in love. He has inherited his dad’s fortune. So in the end, she married her brother in law. She got the riches that her mother wanted for her and at the same time she was successful by her own merit. By observing her mother’s immaturity, she became mature beyond her age. Where her mother was dependent on men, she was confident in herself. Where her mother got pregnant at a young age, she focused on her career before marriage. In the end she got the guy, the meaningful business, and the money. The end!

It must be so hard for her mother.but her mothers dream always had her daughter in it ,that is why I understands her. This story truly speaks about the real love. my ship is broken ,i don't know but i loved those 2 couple .i wanted them to be together.Ensoo is totally innocent ,abondoned by dad and mom is like the world abondoned her. may be the main lead did not experienced that feeling ,that his father never abondened him . "I wanted my mom not a dad " this sentence is completely about her life and discisions. "she is your wife not my mom " this shows his life and discisions both sentence seems to be right but exclusively opposite .

I feel like this movie could have been better if they portrayed it nicely. The only one hurting over here is the main actress (grand daughter) , I don’t feel like the mother’s character shown has sacrificed anything for her daughter . I mean she left her daughter for days to go with another man , sleep with him or whatever for her own pleasure and then said she did it for her daughter, I mean she could have worked hard or maybe get a job and that would have made it look much better. The grand mother was also very wrong . In conclusion I feel like director must have thought of making a emotional movie about a mother making sacrifices for her daughter but this movie lacked that idea and just turned out wrong.
The title of the movie is not appealing to me, but your comment made me curious to watch the movie, to see how bad the mother was.
Most us believe that a financial stable or rich family with husband and wife is a happy family. People just set that goal and try to make it and along the way they may hurt someone. The mother needed a family because single woman/mother is bad in Asian society (same in some US states) and because her daughter wanted another father. In the world many people have to go to work and live far away from home with the goal to survive or to have a better life for their family. Time with your family is precious but money for your family is very important too.
The director did not portray what we want to see but he portrayed correctly the Asian lives and the people.
That was why the Mother regretted that she can not fulfill what he promised to herself to support her daughter...

Sonki Anh I think having 3 husband, your reputation is already shot. If I was the daughter, I would have left the house long ago. This lady is too selfish and keeps hurting her daughter. Even to the end. She should have back out when she sees her daughter is dating the boy but she went ahead regardless. This story is so unrealistic. For that man to want to marry a sick woman who has been married twice and he has all the money in the world, not realistic.

A young mother left her daughter in search of pleasure in outside world. Grandma always supported decision of her daughter, as she thinks that she has an equal right to stay happy. It's granddaughter who was suffering. Here they three are wrong and right in their own ways. Finally after hearing about sickness of her mom.. granddaughter gives up and tries to cope up with situation for the sake of her dying mother.

I can't wrap my head around this movie. It's quite ironic for the mother to claim she wants the best for her daughter when what her daughter really needs is for her to spend time with her and be a good mother, not marrying rich men and letting her daughter inherit her wealth. She's the one that let her daughter down but she keeps acting like the victim. 😒

In the end they all were selfish but i guess that’s how life works sometimes. At least it shows the grandmother’s love to her daughter and her daughter’s love to its daughter. They are both mothers trying to endure each others struggles because they all love -be it self love, romantic love and motherly love. At the end of the day, what matters most is the love they have for each other.
Not every parents know how to be parents... Alot of people get their parenting roles all mixed up and think buying their children gifts can compensate for their absence

Personally i cant understand children that cant be happy for their parent who has a new lover ofcourse they are also humans and in the movie she doesnt mistreat her daughter so thats why there are some younger teens who are exposed watching these kind of movies and apply it whenever they parents dates other than their dad initially their reaction is they cant consider it and take it negatively when in reality u cant disrespect ur parents like that when its not reasonable and not considerig their feelings..
It is easy to replace a husband/wife but it is hard to replace a father/mother
It's one thing for a parent to find love, but when you abandon your child to be with someone you don't deserve the support of that child. If her mom had stayed with her and showed her love and care while also remarrying and dating, chances are that she would not care that her mom was gonna get married again, but her mom constantly left her behind in order to go be with a man instead under the premise that it was for her daughter's benefit, when in reality she never did anything that benefited her daughter. Even in the end instead of marrying the man for his fortune like she had intended to do so that her daughter could be rich she decides to not legally marry him and then she passes away and thus her daughter is once again abandoned by her and has no happy memories or even wealth to show for it after her mother did all that claiming to be planning to help her child have an easy future. Her mother was selfish.
I think it would be better if daughter and the boy make a couple.
Mother should be happy that her daughter is dating the guy and back off!

Why money is so important than real selfless love of a mom to her daughter?? Small kids never bother about money they just want to feel safe n loved. But her mom left her at such tender age to seek wealth for her. Atleast in the end they should have shown her mom sacrifice that old man so that daughter and that boy got together! Then the daughter would have got both, a loving husband and a father like father-in-law. Now what’s the use of money inherited?!
I hate that scene where the grandma attacked her granddaughter while protecting her daughter. I know how the grandma felt and the mother's side but they should be at least being considerate for the daughter. I grew up with my grandma, too and my mother had three men to which she had children with each. As the daughter myself, it is very hard for us. I hated my mom, my dad, and everyone. What they did to me made me hate everything. I couldn't just stop my tears. Good for Eunsu to make it in good terms. How I wish. Not even one can understand.

Not a fav drama. At the end everyone are selfish. Daughter who are abandoned and just want to be happy together with her only mom. Mother who want to give her fortune to the daughter by married with a rich guy and thinking she was sacrificed for her daughter. Ended up she die with that only fortune and left her daughter with no such memorable moments. Such a shame.

She never really spent any quality time with her daughter since young and now that she's about to die she's searching for happiness, love, freedom.. Isn't spending sweet moments with her own family considered happiness? Isn't that love? I just don't understand the mother 🤷♀️
