Moved my friend to glide,it was hot sticky humidity muggy .it was nice to return home.He ended up moving to Sutherlin and it wasn't much better he said.😂😊.
Glad I grew up here and still live here lol The fire did its number maybe one day when my kids are old they will get too see it how I did growing up lol
Luckily there are still a lot of places that weren't damaged by the fires, but as far as some of the popular hikes like Susan Creek and Fall Creek Falls, I don't know that they will every look the same again. At least not in our lifetimes most likely 😔 But Glide and that whole part of Douglas County is still very beautiful, it will just take some time for some of those areas east of town to green back up!
@@TheBeckhamGroup oh ya I will always love it here its so beautiful so much to do if you like the outdoors and to be far I just hiked up swiftwater and there is a TON of green coming back. something about seeing all the green amongst the old burn is still beautiful

Found a school book belonging to Frances Livingston from Glide when she in school there in 1922. Can only imagine what is was like there then.
