Probably because it’s the sort of problem that springs up in every relationship but not one that has a singular cause. Communication is hard, it’s easy to get caught up in the surface level details and not deal with the emotions underneath. Reddit tends to place the burden on the person who isn’t communicating enough but really there needs to be an atmosphere where both partners feel comfortable being vulnerable, and that takes cooperation. Maintaining healthy communication sort of antithetical to placing blame, so it could never be resolved in a subreddit that’s premised on determining who’s at fault.

Ex-Mormon here, thought I'd give some context for 06:09:09. Bunk Bumping and Soaking are both VERY real, but still seen as "not okay" by many Mormons. Its more popular at BYU and in Utah. Also, I grew up being told I couldn't drink soda, though many of my Mormon friends did and I was born in 2001. It was against the Word of Wisdom which mentions "hot drinks" meaning Coffee and Tea. Many saw the caffeination in these products as why it was bad, and applied that to soda. For the record, the LDS church doesn't follow the Nicene Creed, meaning they believe God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost are all separate persons. Further, while in Judaism (I am NOT Jewish or studied) "Yahweh" is a title for the Israelites god, and "Elohim" is also a title for the Israelites god, but for other state's gods or gods plural. The LDS church believes "Elohim" to be the TRUE name of God, while Jesus is the "Jehovah" or "Yahweh". There is also the Council of Elohim from 19th century doctrine which is the council of gods (Mormons believed AT ONE POINT that they would all become gods if they were exalted in the temple) that created Kolob (the star or planet closest to Elohim's throne and the center of the universe) which is referenced in the Hymn "If You Could Hie to Kolob". The Mormon complaining in DnD is EXTRA crazy with this context, because its literally the SAME name, and while Mormons don't spread the name so people don't use it in a derogatory way, it's not taboo to say it. The endowments ceremony mentioned the penalty for telling anyone about the ceremony, would be execution by throat slitting, heart removal, and disembowelment, but that was for the ceremony, NOT the name. They initially started revising the ceremony due to a 1904 senate investigation (Smoot Hearings) on their "Law of Vengeance" that was a part of the ceremony, where you would vow to "avenge the blood of the prophets on this nation", and that ended in 1927. The death penalties ended in 1990. That is to say that MY PARENTS took that oath, but my Dad still told me who Elohim was and my Dad was a Bishop and a fundamentalist. It is still the official churches stance that these rituals should only be discussed in the temple, and they maintain a "sacred" air. They denied these rituals (which was how you became a literal god) to black people until 1978, and LGBTQ+ people still (one of the reasons for young people leaving the church in increasing numbers). The endowments are also where you get the famous "Magic Mormon Underwear" or temple garments that you wear from then on. The Holy Ghost doesn't have a "true" name, nor does the Holy Mother, but there is speculation that the Holy Mother's name is "Asherah". Joseph Smith had several potential names, Gazelem (Also potentially Mosiah's true name in the BoM), Baurak Ale, Enoch Elohim and Yahweh are found in the temple ceremonies (which you need a temple recommend to even enter), with the D&C being the reference for Joseph Smith and companies "true" names. While fundamentalist Mormon groups still use the "true" names present in the original publishing of the D&C (1832-1834ish), the LDS church changed the D&C to include the peoples' real names in parentheses next to the "true" names in 1876, and removed the true names for Joseph Smith and company all together in 1981. As an Ex-Mormon, its speculated Joseph Smith and his cohort used these code names to avoid the use of the D&C in lawsuits by opponents of the church, as having their real names could provide evidence that the United Order (early Mormon Communes operating under the Law of Consecration [bootleg socialism, but they claim socialism is the "counterfeit" LoC]) were legally a company, and therefore financially liable. They would have their members sign their property over to the church voluntarily, and they could maintain "stewardship" over their property. Side note if you made it this far: Emma Smith (Joseph's MAIN wife) tried to poison him (confirmed by Brigham Young [the BY in BYU]), and he had as little as 30 and as many as 40 wives, the youngest of whom was only 14 years old. Her name was Helen Mar Kimball.
