I'm sure her scalp is sensitive too it probably feels like a massage from the hand of God or I guess in this case a Goddess. Wish I could feel this relaxed every time I washed my head.

I’m an nurse on a postpartum unit and let me tell you that giving a newborn their first bath is just as amazing and special as this video makes it seem.
After a baby is born, the maternity staff is usually the first ones to actually see and handle the baby.
But occasionally, after it's born, the nurses do put the baby on the mother's chest to let her see and touch her baby, then they take it and give it a bath.
Then they bring it to the momma so she can breastfeed it.
In reality, the momma is the second one to handle her baby not the first.
You have such a great responsability to welcome the newborn person to our world
@@pastpresent2223 not here in Canada. Babies arent bathed until they turn 24 hrs old and they get their first bath 1 hr before they kick us out of he hospital to go home lol

Nurses are so amazing but not paid anywhere near enough for the love and care provided to patients!. From the experience I have had ( lots), nurses do the doctors work for them and only request finality of decision making and signing off on meds etc. I was lucky to live through a long childbirth and a sever blood infection which nearly killed me. I had the most amazing nursing staff for myself and my newborn and even now with a heart condition as a result of the blood infection. I get the best care when doctors don't have the level of bedside manner or give a shit to be perfectly honest. Nurses need to be paid accordingly for the risk to life, long hours, care and extreme exhaustion experienced!. Thank you to all nurses.

I had a nurse like her with my first. She spent her lunch break with me and my baby girl 😂 Said she fell in love with my baby 😂❤ She was so nice. Now my girl is 7 😣 It goes way too fast! I miss her being this tiny ❤

Nurses , and medics all over should be celebrated for their efforts. Not that i am fond of babies , however , this child (you can see from its expressions.), is very intelligent. Hopefully , with the support that this nurse is showing , the child will flourish.

Yup. I just had a baby. I was there 3 days and they let me use a breast pump on wheels (the breast pump stays at the hospital)
They billed my insurance 450$ just for me using it.

J&A R sorry to remind you of unpleasant experience. I thought the health insurance would cover it. Last time I went to the hospital due to a small wound on my head. The MA poured the hydrogen peroxide over it and there go $3000. But that because my deductible is high.

There are no HIPAA violations in this video. One could argue that the video being taken whilst in the hospital could be considered a HIPAA violation but given that the patient in question is obviously under the age of consent it would be up to the parents to consent to the video being recorded and posted online. Consent is presumed in this case given that the father was likely the person behind the camera. Plus no pertinent information was released in this case in order to even accurately identify who the patient/nurse/hospital is anyway.

Po ppy gentle as in she’s talking gently and trying to make it relaxing for the kiddo. Alot of nurses don’t really do their best half of the time, so it’s nice seeing this woman being so gentle with the baby, and actually caring for it.
