Hi, sorry for late reply. The A-Winning scheme removes on average over 92% of the iron in the mine water before it is discharged. While this is sufficient to mitigate the environmental impact on the watercourse, the small amount of oxidised iron left in the water can still cause some minor localised staining to the outlet structure of the scheme before the treated water enters the watercourse.
