Keep going, I had cervical cancer in 1997 at the age of 35 when I was 43 it came back and i had a radical hysterectomy and vagintectomy. After a few years of further Zappa to clear doggy cells. I was given the all clear. I had my 62nd birthday this week. So there are silver linings. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Karen, my situation was so similar to yours. I had cervical cancer in 1998/99 at the age of 34. I was so lucky to fall for my daughter 3 months after treatment then had a hysterectomy a few years after that. It's so great that Mandy is urging people to get tested it's so important. So happy to hear you have fully recovered. ❣️
The strength and courage it took for you to share your thoughts, the tests, your fears in this video, is exactly the strength and courage that will see you through your treatment. And if you need a little extra strength and courage, you know that all of us who watch you and John are here in the background willing you both on. ❤
Keep a positive mind Mandy, enjoy the time you have before your treatment begins. I was told yesterday that I had a rare cancer and start my chemotherapy next week. Every hour for me counts, and I'm going to enjoy every second of every minute of every hour I have. My life is in the hands of the oncologist. But my LIFE, is for me to live as long as I am able. Think positive, smile, try to be happy. Hugs to you both xx
Thank you Mandy for the update .... and on International Women's Day too ! You are a warrior! The waiting must be horrendous for you all! We are with you as you know, every step of the way and you will be on our minds on Monday. Keeping everything crossed for the best possible result 🤞 Much love and hugs x
Hya Mandy, finally figured out how to comment on your site. We're the couple you met in Scunthorpe hospital car park. Just want to apologise for rushing off, Janice had an appointment with her Stoma nurse. We're 4 months after her operation to remove her bowel cancer and trying to stay positive. Anyway we'd like to wish you all the best and hopefully you'll continue to entertain us for years to come. Hope you had a nice day on your anniversary. If you end up having your treatment at Castle Hill, know that you will be in the very best place. Don't forget to ring the bell at the end of your treatment. Love to you both, stay positive. Dave and Janice. X
When my mother in law had terminal cancer 14 years ago i never thought i would come across another woman as strong as she was. She walked into every treatment with her head held high, chin up and smiling even though she wasn't feeling that way. You are going to do the same!! Stay positive, stay strong and always remember the wise words of winnie the pooh! "When you see someone put in their big boy boots you know and adventure is going to start!" But in your case big girl pants!! And we are all here behind you when need help keeping them up❤❤ i have a little something for you if you are still at willowfield ?
Loads of positive thoughts coming your way. I had a radical hysterectomy 14 years ago. I was in hospital for three days and had to come out to continue looking after my husband who had dementia. I got through it and with your determination and support from your husband and daughter I’m sure whatever you are facing you will too. You truly are surrounded with positive thoughts and good wishes. Stay strong.
On international women’s day thank you for speaking so clearly to women and men that catching the bastard early is the way to go. Get everything tested, go to your appointments, get checked when you’re due. Wishing you calmness in the coming days and weeks. You’ve got this, girl!
We're all with you, Our Mandy! Yup, you can't get rid of us. We're with you all the way... you're never going to get rid of us...EVER!!! Don't let any thoughts think there's anything but LOVE. LOVE is what we feel for you Mandy and that means we're always here for you... and John of course. How could anyone ever forget John!! Nope, little one... HUGE hugs from South Devon... and the biggest load-ful of love to bring you through this. You're the top, little Mandy. The Best xxx Pam
On International Women's day I'm re naming you to 'Pioneering Mandy' , wow the vlogg showed your courage....you John & your wonderful daughter are in my thoughts...now go get your big girl pants on & kick this thing hard...hgs🌟💪🤞💞🧚♀️
My daughter was diagnosed with the same when she was 30yrs old (and with a 1yr old child), she stayed strong, she battled through a hysterectomy and thank god all was ok and she is now 50yrs old. You need to keep strong Mandy and keep positive. Love to you and John, we are all routing for you. X
I live 5 mins from SGH. My mum had a life saving cancer op there last year, after been told she was at end of life care. Also had her chemo there. Now 1 year cancer free. Whatever happens , you got this!! Lots of love to you both xxx
You are such a strong soul and a great inspiration for others. A true warrior you are and thanks for sharing with us. Keep fighting and never surrender :)
I've had breast cancer 7 years ago, still not in remission as there was a metastasis in my back. I recognize so much of the things you talk about. Some things give me goosebumps, others make me smile. Do enjoy your network of support, it feels so warm to be surrounded by all these people who care about you. Good luck, lots of courage, hang in there. I wish you all the best.
Mandy love,we just want you to know that we are thinking of you and sending you love and strength. Stay positive Mandy as we did and I am still here after 35 years. You will beat it. Keep smiling xxxxxx regards love from Jo and Doug
Allowing joy is so important when dealing with a scary illness. Give yourself permission to be joyful when and where you can Dear Heart. There will be enough serious. The joy you allow will be so cherished in those hardest times.
Just watched your video. I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer back in 2022. Chemotherapy was the 1st port of call, then surgery then radiotherapy. Keep positive as this will help. It seems a challenge at the time, but friends and family will be there for you. Listen to the nurses and doctors if they say slow down and take it easy do it, take time out for you. John and family are important but so are you. They can support you, but you have to face the cancer head on. Take charge of it, dont let it take over. Keep telling it, I'm going to win. Keep positive. Sending big hugs. Take care. Sue & Mark. Nuts on Tour.
Mandy, you are an absolute star, a fabulous fighter and one strong woman. You have got this! I am waiting for my 2nd colposcopy having had a scare last year. I'm having it done under anaesthetic as it was the most painful experience I have ever had (I was warned, apparently its worse if you've never had children). You are so right, waiting is the hard part. I had precancerous cells and had a coil fitted as the treatment, just hoping it's worked and they haven't progressed. We are all here, right behind you, you will never ever be alone. Best wishes to you, John and your daughter xx
My sister has been battling cancer for years and she is my hero, she goes and does not let it define her.She has had breast cancer, cervical and now she has bladder cancer. Yes please do also add holistic remedies also❤❤❤
I'm 50 and 5 years after an early menopause I'm having period-like cramps. I've been sitting on it for 6 months but you've encouraged me to get checked out. I'm full-time but registered at my daughters so heading back there. Wishing you all the best Mandy, and hope your results were ok. Will watch for your next video.
Keep your positive mind, what a strong woman you are and sharing your fight with us❤. I wish you all the best for you, John and your Daughter. I send my strength to you .Janie
Listening to you I'm struck by how strong and courageous you are. If I could wave a magic wand for all cancer sufferers I would. Instead, all I have to offer is support and heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery. I don't know you, but I know you can beat this.
I had 1B3 cervical cancer and had a radical hysterectomy, oophorectomy and full pelvic lymph node dissection. I can honestly say if that’s the route you go down then don’t be afraid! Sending out healing wishes to the universe for you ❤❤
I was really lucky and didn’t need the chemo. The decision for chemo was depending on any cancer cells discovered in the lymph nodes they removed but thankfully they didn’t find any. I was checked every 3 months afterwards for 2 years then every 6 months for another 2. It’s a bit scary when the checks finish to be honest!
Keep fighting Mandy. I mentioned that my Mum hesitated for smears though I begged her constantly and when she got agressive untreatable cancer and I became her full time carer I was constantly very angry at how she didnt fight or seek treatment. She didn't want to know and when she died, it destroyed me mentally. I'm still not right now and I cant visit her grave and all because embarrasment stopped her having checks. I say it all the time about life being a precious gift. As long as you're alive you should fight for every bloody second of it. Its going to be scary for you, but you're doing it! you're going to go for treatment, and though you dont know what you're facing, you are here doing vlogs which will help other subscribers. I'm so proud of you. I wish my mum had been like you❤❤❤ and I hadn't have had to watch her leave me. I dont pray, I'm not a religious person but Ive asked the universe for a full recovery for you. I know you will win and when you "ring the bell" do one thing and change the name of the channel because then "unadventurous Mandy" will do you such a dis-service. Nobody fighting as you are and will be could ever be called Unadventurous. Sending you much love and a huge supportive hug. 🙏❤❤❤❤- Kenny.
We’re sending you massive hugs and love from two you’ve never known, but we feel John & Mandy are part of our Sunday evening viewing. Apart from healing and positive thoughts, be assured donation to cancer vegan packs to help others. Much ❤from the Peak District ❤x
Mandy I'm sorry to read your news, I hope everything goes well for you. Massive hugs to you and your family. Your strength will get you through ❤ best wishes xxxxxxx
Mandy ~ you are a super amazing and kind-hearted person and I am sending so much love and light to you from New Zealand. You have got this young lady - kick that nasty cancer up the bum!! Xxxx❤
Mandy you are one amazing strong lady. Keep that strength. You can beat this. Keep telling yourself every day youve got this inner strength to beat this and Mandy believe what you say.💚
I think everyone who "knows you" are sending positive vibes. My sister has been through breast cancer twice and is now in remision at 71 years. She is also my hero. Take care lots of love.
Dear Mandy. Sitting here moved to tears and moved to comment. My husband Tony and I discovered your channel during lockdown and have been following you and John ever since. First van life videos we ever watched. So thank you for all the amazing content over the years. You always come across as honest, real down to earth people. We've loved your humour and also both your abilities to share/express real feelings and emotions. So we've laughed and cried along the way. I just want to say feel for you and understand what you're going through. In 2013, just before my 60th, I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We live in France so luckily, once I was diagnosed, I was straight in to start 6 months of chemo. I remember being told after my scan that I had a tumour the size of two fists! Very scary. But I was lucky and the chemo worked and I'm here today 11 years later! I know it's a completely different type of cancer you have, but I wanted to say that it can be beaten and you can come out the other side of this. Yes it's an emotional rollercoaster but you have to stay as positive as possible. Be strong, which I know you are. You have a wonderful supportive husband and daughter, which is so important. It's really hard for them too of course. As you say, it's wonderful that you have such a huge loving community of love and support via TH-cam too. I just wanted to add our support and send loving healing vibes your way. You can beat this! I'm sure treatments have improved leaps and bounds since I had mine. I used a short simple positive mantra to help me through my treatment. A friend going through chemo also used it. It's something easy and quick - ' Every day in every way I'm getting better, better and better.' Many years ago we did a wonderful course on dynamic meditation which was called The Silva Method. So that's where it came from. There's a book Jose Silva wrote with the same name. It's amazing and can be life changing if you're interested. Anyway, we really hope you get the answers you need asap and that you can start your treatment and road to healing. Wishing you well. Thanks for continuing to share your journey( to John as well). xxxx❤❤ Nikki and Tony Steers, SW France
We're in your corner and we have your back Mandy. Keep moving forward and know we're bringing up the rear should you need to lean for a minute and catch your breath. This too shall pass!!
it goes with out saying mand ya know we love ya and you keep them vlogs coming if that’s helping as we all wanna be there to fight this fight with ya your my northern bird and we are tuff cookies #Doonecancer ❤❤❤❤
Hi Mandy, Castle Hill Hospital is just 15 mins down the road from us and I and a number of the family have had various treatments there. (None for cancer tho). Always felt well cared for, professional staff and well maintained premises. If it does mean treatment there, you’ll be in good hands. Just made a donation to a friend running a marathon for a cancer charity thinking of you. Endure this health winter.
I'm so happy you can feel the love and healing that's being sent to you. You must allow yourself time to feel sad without feeling guilty. I will continue to send Reiki healing to you, John and your daughter ❤❤xxx
Oh Mandy you are such an inspiration to us all, stay strong sweetheart and smile a little, wish you all the best for monday hope things are ok, sending you all lots of love and hugs 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
More hugs. You’re being so brave… the not knowing must be awful. You do what ever you want to do. Life is short enough even without cancer so if you want to laugh and have fun you do it. Take care of yourself Sue x
Your the one thats amazing, your bravery and strength are amazing, both you and John, your in my prayers, keep positive, stay strong, hugs to you both. ❤
Sending you so much love Mandy. 💚 This is hard ......and you can do it. After a year of treatment, my dear friend has just given the all clear by 3 different consultants. The treatments are so good these days and people are beating cancer all the time. Eat the bad stuff if it helps and try to eat the good stuff too. HappyPear are brilliant at fast plant-based meals - they do lots of alkaline (plant-based) 1 pan/ 5 minute dinners on You Tube. Huge hugs to you, John and family. 💚💚💚 xxx
Sending you all love and support for you to bath in it. Fresh supplies of love will be delivered for you to use whenever you need it and this love … which is your followers love will be endless ❤ Always here ❤❤❤❤
We have watched you since the Volkswagen days, and this video was like sitting listening to a friend. Iam not sure what to say other than we are thinking of you, John and your family. Steve and Paula x
Hello Mandy, we have been following your husband 'Gadget John' because we are getting a campervan at the end of March. So we got to know of you through his videos. I was so upset when I watched his video 'Numb' as it brought all my cancer and what me and my family went through back to me. Ten years ago I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the age of 55 and I understand completely what you are going through, I just wanted to share that although 'cancer' is an ugly word people do survive it. I am now 10 years past the surgery and have finally been given the 'all clear' by my surgeon, who I saw a couple of weeks ago, because the type of cancer I had was slow growing. Sending you a big hug and I know it's difficult but try and stay positive the mind is very powerful. Thinking of you and your family.
Sending love and healing prayers for you Mandy and prayers and strength to John I'm praying that you reach a full recovery so you both can go on you wonderful adventures so we can go too . Love and healing prayers from the South Island of New Zealand .🌸🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌻
Hello Mandy. I was a single parent with 4 children and two and a half years ago I lost my second daughter to cancer four weeks after he 45th birthday. I have never known pain like it. I have followed you both for some time now and I see you both as family. I send you both and your daughter a huge hug. You are all in my thoughts.
My heart goes out to you. Sending positive thoughts hugs n thoughts to you.. been where you are mine was breast now cancer free and sold house to travel. Stay positive one day at a time. The waiting is the worst. Brave lady ❤
It is a very strange feeling with the CT Scan when you feel like your weeing…it’s perfectly understandable your wanting to just hover at Willowfields, it’s the waiting, it makes you feel like you’ve got weights on you and you can’t get moving..don’t fight it, your concentration goes out the window at times like this, better to just get through the days as best you can. I felt like that too about laughing, it feels so scary to laugh. So many emotions, will be thinking about you both on Monday and you’re in my prayers every night Mandy ❤️
Thoughts are always with you Mandy and John extending to your family, the strength between the both of you can beat this ! take care all of you x Monday - you will be in my heart and thoughts x
Cancer is serious however don’t forget that rhythm is a dancer. You probably don’t feel like dancing right now but here’s hoping your dancing days will be back soon. I’m a fellow cancer survivor (mine’s breast), wishing you and John all the love and support in the world xx
Keep going mandy this video was from you heart and had to be a hard one to make but by doing this you will help many who are and will be in the same boat one day sending all our love xx

❤️❤️❤️

Keep strong you will get through this ❤
Sending you, John and your daughter all our love ❤

Sending love Mandy. You are in my prayers 🙏 ❤️
More hugs. You’re being so brave… the not knowing must be awful. You do what ever you want to do. Life is short enough even without cancer so if you want to laugh and have fun you do it. Take care of yourself Sue x
Just wanted to send you love, light and blessings 💜 your amazing!
Fresh supplies of love will be delivered for you to use whenever you need it and this love … which is your followers love will be endless ❤
Always here ❤❤❤❤

Mandy...so sorry you and John are having to go through this. Please stay positive and know that I'm thinking and praying for you! Love, Claudie/Texas
❤️❤️❤️
Big bug hugs Mandy! I remember waiting for test results after treatment for cervical cancer in 1999 it's not nice. You are so strong lots of love ❤️❤️

Sending prayers and hugs. Thank you for sharing your cancer journey.🤗
Thinking of you today (Monday) ❤🙏🏻🙏🏻

Cancer is serious however don’t forget that rhythm is a dancer. You probably don’t feel like dancing right now but here’s hoping your dancing days will be back soon. I’m a fellow cancer survivor (mine’s breast), wishing you and John all the love and support in the world xx
