It's mad to think we had a fantastic rail infrastructure then came the motorways so they got rid of the rail and now trying to put it all back in again! turning full circle. Looked like you had a great day despite the weather. Sue's cake didn't last long! Thanks for taking us along, take care, Martin
Yes we are going back to battery operated cars too. I remember the old milk and grocery vans were electric when I was a kid. Cars and lorries are an awful invention 🤣 bring back trains, trams, trolley busses and all that stuff. Ding ding 🤣 Cake ? What cake ? 🤣 Have a good week Martin 🚐 Trev
Hi Trev, we love steam trains. This little railway is really a nice area, loved the museum and of course jumping on board the carriage to have a piece of cake/cream egg and a cup of tea. Thank you for sharing. Shame it was raining for you all xx
Nice to think that it used to be possible to get from Shillingstone and beyond to Burnham-on-Sea, and a shame that we still can’t. Thanks for sharing, Pete & Kaz 👍😀👍😎👍😀
Nice video guys. Shame about the weather. Shades of yesteryear at the station. Be lovely to have that type of transport readily available again. Stay safe. Mal and Fave
Lol. Braver than me. I ditched the weather today because the storm hit. Rain and high winds. 😁🤣 I thought sheila was Sue's sister. You learn something new every day!
Lovely!! Makes me think of Thomas the Train! We have an old railway trail that is called the Kettle Valley Rail Trail that passes just below our house. It connects up with the Trans Canada Trail, which goes across Canada. The KVR was a line that went from the interior of BC into Vancouver, back in the day, and stopped here, where we live, in the winter to cut ice blocks from the lakes for the city people's ice boxes. About an hour from us they maintain an old steam engine that you can ride on along part of the old railway. My grandkids are crazy for Thomas, so we always make a trip to the old train for a ride when they visit. How fun to have a tea break in the train car! Such a pretty place! Thanks for taking us along!
Great to get a look around the station. It looked like they are really utilising what they have there to make an attraction out of it which is great. Love seeing you all together, you look like you all have so much fun. Stay safe and Trevor take it easy. David, Clare and Tessie 😊
Some of my favorite bike riding trails are old rail lines, they make for a fun ride thru the mountains, because they are so level and easy to peddle on. I don't mind a little rain in the summer , a cloudy day is easier on my eyes. Its so good to see ya out with family, things are slowly getting better, a glimmer of hope Thanks for sharing.
I've been to a railroad museum and up on a caboose or in the main engine area of a locomotive no longer in use, but I've never been on a passenger train. Think it's neat you got to go in and sit and have a snack. Looks like it was a fun little day.
Great video Trevor. We just went across country to Harrogate and the rain after Skipton was like a monsoon lol. Heysham were I'm from used to have a rail carriage as a cafe at the harbour. That area your in looks great.
Pip that’s very kind. I soon recovered but realise that I have to be careful. Sue mentioned you contacted her and it means a lot to us both. Thanks again, Trev n Sue
Yes we are from Suffolk. This station project was really interesting to us and in a lovely area of countryside, making a nice day out. Thanks for watching 😃 Trev n Sue

I dont think the side lines could compete with buses, buses were well used.
Clive here from Fern the Camper, just popping in to say hi. Miss the UK, so your channel is good therapy.
Hi Clive. Great that you join us, you are very welcome. We enjoy Watching you guys too. Look after yourself and your family 😀👍🏻 Trev

I do like nice old trains. That's an interesting bucket thing that the train was up.against.
Old transport fascinates me. I had planned a lot more transport museums this year but we know what happened to plans. 🤨 Trev

Yes, Sue had a small piece of cake (not really 😉) and I am a sucker for a cream egg 🥚 😂 Trev
