Lili1127 thank you very much for your uploads and all your hard work to give them English subtitles! Just out of curiosity, how come you didn't upload the scene where Carlos gives Isabel the red carnation? I think that's a really sweet part of their story, as it explains why Isabel is known as the "Empress of the Carnations".
Lili1127 I was also wondering if you can upload the scene from episode 1 when Juana goes crazy after Catalina escapes from the tower, and then Carlos has to send her back because Juana misses her. No pressure or anything
we only recover our land from the invading Moors. That land had a name, and it was not "andalus", it was called "la bética". and we will not allow you to put one foot more in our ancestral land. Europe will never be Muslim.
Granada is Spanish. The Queen Isabel won your ancestors. In Grenada the blood is catolic don't forget it. Ai am from Granada and Granada Isabel and Fernando the queen and the king Granada
@Wednesday's Child You need to chill ok It is how civilization is carried on....when an empire is dying with all its legacy some other civilization carried on with the legacy and knowledge such is not hers. Greek civilization has its oan legacy and heritage Arabs and Muslims took the greek knowledge and architecture and build on their own history ..now when the Muslims where in Spain in their own golden age Spain where flourishing.....but when they were kicked out they left their own culture and legacy their and obviously Spanish benefited from it....it is the same for USA and Morocco :Spanish are still invading (sebta and mlilia) for example Again Did you ask your self why you learn at school ?so that knowledge can be readmitted to you from you ancestors till it reaches you...... this how civilizations are carried on and continue .knowledge is transmitted from one civilization to another so that mankind can make a good use of it. The so called globalization makes it easy today I guess....if you know what I mean ..... At least admit....it is not good for your reputation... Oh I don't worry no one will ever touch your beloved Spain....did you forget you are still invading morroco like you called the moors....pathetic !!!!! Easy ok!!!!
A mí me fascina la esta tv serie... Verla es como darse un buen atracón de comida en un restaurante buffette. Con algo de propaganda, pero muy buena TV serie.
Because it's so overtly sugary and fluffy. I mean, come on! These were two important political persons who ruled a empire, Isabella was so much more than a pining, whiny goose who constantly went around and "my true wuw", "charlie forever", I mean this is the adult version of doodling "miss charles hapsburg" all over her schoolbooks. The real isabella was a dignified regent, a politically capable infanta. This Isabella is dull, whiny, childish and the worst is that the show build her up to be this intelligent, powerful, regent who could keep spain in line. There is nothing interesting about this character aside from her wardrobe. This show has capable women, well written for the most part: Margaret of Austria, Mary of Hungary, Catherine of Aragon, Claude of France, Margaret of Navarre, Catherine of Austria. Isabella is just a pretty, rather empty, well dressed dull character. I could forgive the sackarine tones if there were anything that made up for it, but this show fails to do so with Isabella. It's insulting to the real empress Isabella
BlueFlowwer you seem to be forgetting one very important fact - Carlos and Isabel were also human beings and full of emotions and feelings. I'm sorry but, did you want them to portray Isabel as some sort of stone cold, hard woman? Another thing you seem to be forgetting is that of course, we obviously don't know what she and Carlos spoke about in their private conversations, but don't you think that since they were happily married, they would've spoken sweet talk to one another? There's usually a bit of pressure when it comes to these kind of historical dramas creating personal conversations between the real life historical figures for the reason I mentioned above. I'm sorry to hear that you feel the series insults Isabel, but don't you think you're overreacting just a tad?
Yes they were humans, I don't want stone cold persons, but there is a broad spectrum that can be used and this show fails. The chemistry between Isabel and Ferdinand in Isabel tv was perfect. They had sweet moments, but it was balanced out by matters of politics, personal ambitions, jealousy, pettinness, religious devotions. They captured the duality of being both rulers and human beings, in a very good way. This show fails to do that. It's always a good way to follow this simple rule: Show, don't tell. Isabel tv nailed it. Carlos Rey Emperador, atleast in Isabella's character fails. And perhaps since this is their sequel, it's rather failing in contrast. We don't know what Charles and Isabella spoke about in their private conversation and they were happily married. But we don't know what Isabel and Ferdinand spoke about in their private conversations and they too were happily married, but that relationship in the series were well written, they were human. And above all else they dealt with each others flaws, complimented each other. I believed that this was a rather realistic way to show the Catholic Monarchs. Charles and Isabella is just one side of a relationship, there is little besides sweetness, their chemistry is nonexistant, they don't compliment each other. Perhaps it was because of the shortness of the series, if there was a 3 seasons, maybe their characters could be better. Or perhaps the writing sucks. Atleast some of the lines does, especially when Charles and Isabella is concerned. Sweet talk is good and needed, but it needs to be balanced out by other human emotions. And it doesn't in this show with Charles and Isabella.
BlueFlowwer well that is a problem when you only have 17 episodes and it is unfortunate they didn't have more episodes for Carlos, Rey Emperador. Nevertheless, I think they did a good job with Carlos and Isabel's relationship and the actors had wonderful chemistry. It also has to be remembered that the two relationships you mentioned were not exactly the same. In my opinion, the difference between the two couples is that Isabel and Fernando were the ultimate power couple, but Carlos and Isabel were Romeo and Juliet, so it makes perfect sense that the two relationships are not the same in the respective series.
De obligada visita La Alhambra, he tenido la suerte de visitarla y desde luego es como un sueño de lo hermosa que es
Awwwww.. All C&I clips are so sweet. I'd enjoy their happy time until the tragedy ends it. Thank you for uploading!
You are welcome :)

Well I can't upload the whole episode, just some scenes, so I just missed that one, that's all. But if you want, I can try to do that as well :)
Lili1127 oh well it's up to you. If you're okay with it, sure, but I don't want to put any pressure on you. :)

I'm wondering whether the filming place at 4:48 is a set or the real palace in Granada. It seems like real but I'm not sure.
Before the series premiere, I saw a werkvideo with the actors about filming in Alhambra. So I think it should be real.
JY L Yes the filming was un La Alhambra.
It is the palace at Alhambra. I’ve visited there and it is stunningly beautiful.
