Loved that latest installment. Despite your very understandable concerns and stress on that portion of your Camino, you still delivered a stunning, informative account💚💚
Hi Kate, Beautifully captured and put together. And you had lovely weather crossing those hills! I‘m glad you took that lovely trail from Samos to Sarria, despite of you reservations. When, during my last Camino, I cycled past those two spots where on previous Caminos, years back, a couple of strange encounters (a weird kind of pooper💩 and a flasher) took place … it all came back to me. But, these things can happen at home, too. So, I think you did the right thing … keeping your wits about and continue … being rewarded with this beauty of Galicia. 😊
Thanks Kate. Yes it was a weird situation which unnerved me, particularly with setting off the next day from Samos. I ended up catching up with the group from the bar who were an Italian camino family and they let me walk with them until I felt okay again! There are some lovely people on the trail and also beautiful views! I’m sorry you also had some unwelcome encounters! 💚
Re peeing alongside the road: could it be just a cultural thing? Given an option, it is cleaner in my opinion to pee in nature and no need to touch anything. I think it is just cultural ... Thank you for the episode though - ¡Buen camino!
Not very smart wearing earbuds or headphones while walking the Camino, especially on the sections along highways and such. Even on the sections away from vehicle traffic there's the danger of not hearing a bicycle approaching behind you. I have walked the Camino several times, different routes. I've literally seen pilgrims getting hit by bicyclists. Prospective pilgrims, walk safely. Don't wear headphones. 🙅♂
Beautiful! Especially the village towards the end of the video. Your videos calm my nerves for my upcoming Camino.
Happy to hear that! Buen Camino Andrew!
