It's somewhat a stalker rod, as it has 2 end pieces, one longer than the other for getting throught the brushes and reeds.....Looks old too, as the bamboo is somewhat brown now, but you can clearly see the fibers. Don't really know how things back in the past lasted that much. Probably was something top of the line back then.
