One thing that comes up in the comics a lot is the "psychic rapport" that Jean and Scott share through Jean. Charles probably has something similar to that so he gets a warning. The psychic rapport comes up almost as often as Psylocke's "Sum totality".

Gladiator is really strong he's basically Marvel's Superman along with Hyperion and Sentry but his powers are wierd in order for gladiator to win a fight he has to gain confidence in order to win if he can't he loses
