Even though she didn't write the song, you can tell that Su is singing it from the heart. Not just singing the lyrics, but performing them with her voice. It makes me think of _Faithfully_ by Journey. Steve Perry didn't write those lyrics, but he infuses them with just the right vocal emotion.
