Thanks for share that video, I would like to ask a couple of things, first: what is the starting temp of the pool. and what is the average temp of the enviroment and how many gallons have your pool ?
You need to enclose the coils in a stove body. With a chimney for natural draft, you won’t need a blower. Fire will burn hotter and cleaner and you will get more heat into the water...
A wood fire like a campfire might reach temperatures as high as 1650F at it’s hottest point. Copper melts just shy of 1984F, so no it won’t melt. This is especially true with water being pumped thru it, it will never go over 212F as the water will carry away all the heat…
Try doing water instead of salt for holding coil shape. Much easier to remove in the end. Also keep the copper warm with hot water on the outside, this will make it super easy to form if you have issues with kinking.
Recent discovery of trying before research. Use brake line copper, not refrigeration line. Refrigeration line, while usually a more pure copper. Is not meant for the heat, and will break down faster.
