      You didn’t mention major pros or cons with the handle. It has always looked uncomfortable me in the top of the back end. No issues for you?

    • @5MinuteKnives

      @@WhispyWoods. I literally just saw this bud! 🤣 I would say the only con I had with this handle was the lack of a guard of some kind. Because it's kinda "tactical" that needs to be considered. Other than that, the hardware was a lil scratchy but the handle ergos were actually pretty good. I wonder why youtube hid this from me. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Just received this knife. I was on the fence with the look of the handle. I wasn't sure how it would sit in my hand. But once I picked it up I was in love! It's a great knife.

      Right? I was surprised too. I'm making fancy kydex sheaths for this knife now btw. Hit me up at dragonscalejoe@gmail.com and I'll send you some pics of our designs. I didn't mind the sheath it came with but it locked a bit stiff and our designs are so much better. Appreciate you tuning in!

    I bought this knife in 2017 for self defense from animals and also to cut wood in a pinch. I wanted 1 good strong knife as I don’t have a lot of money. This is perfect, it is strong, the handle itself can know out someone, the blade is very sturdy and the sheath is strong. Everything feels quality and makes me feel safe having it on my hip.

      Right? I remember the old game and comic character (I know, I'm old) but this turned out to be a pretty solid knife. Thanks for tuning in and I'll do another sheath giveaway soon. 👍

    The handles are Ultramid nylon.

    • @5MinuteKnives
      @5MinuteKnives  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Whatever that is. haha. They're okay and have a lil texture but the screws sit a little proud and can dig into your hand a bit. I don't notice it much anymore but something to note. Thanks for the info!

    Ordered the knife. Getting it today! It has a great look and from all the reviews (your included), a great feel! I really like its stealthy & compact look. Thinking about sharpening that swedge. That drop point style reminds me of my Szabo express, which is a pretty sweet double edged knife. Food for thought. Great video here too...

    • @5MinuteKnives
      @5MinuteKnives  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I wouldn't sharpen the swedge (you'll see why) but I LOVE this knife. Hit me up for a custom sheath maybe?

      I found Lucas Carroll on eBay and commissioned his first Ka Bar Turok scales.
      Now he has several more in stock, tan micarta only. But he can make more, and probably other colours; altho that's up to him obvs .. 👍🇦🇺

    I have a few KaBars and I agree the grips suck. But there is an inexpensive solution instead of spending a lot of money on new scales and that is ranger bands. I put 2 or 3 ranger bands on the scales and it greatly adds to the grip. Especially over those annoying screws. I have them on all my KaBar and Jurosz knives. You can buy a bag full of various sizes on Amazon. I also heard you say you live in Colorado. I too live here just south of Chatfield Reservoir.

      I just put re-grip on my handle. I have XL hand size and the re-grip worked perfectly for me. I got the medium size re-grip for it. Best knife for the money period.

    What is the width of the blade in centimeters?

    • @5MinuteKnives
