Both of these bands are highly entertaining. However, I give Hunters Lane an edge on tone quality and song choice. I give Jeff Davis an edge on chorography. Love them both!! ❤️☺️❤️👏👏👏👏
Need 2 move that float out the way. But Hunter Lane musical selection was a beast specially playing Ape Sh*t by Beyonce at 20:08 then hitting them again with Cry Me a River by Justin Timberlake at 32:35 But Jefferson Davis choreography is phenomenal especially guys girls and the band playing a part
I really enjoyed watching them battle. They needs to battle against each other every year in New Orleans. Just like Southern and Grumbling and our Superdome 💞💞💞💞💞💞
The lady dancing with her son (?) at 18:45 is my favorite. She's adorable and the boy is so cute. She's having a great time. I love it when the crowd has fun. Makes me smile. ❤️
Jefferson’s dancers definitely killed the other team but the band it’s hard to say they were both amazing. I wonder if any of these kids are in college now

You can tell the blue band actually cares about intonations and tone more than jeff davis. You can play this type of music and still have a good sound.
Lol I see how the blue band horn section gathered to the side of the float so JD band can hear them loud and clear. They're in tune too, those trumpets sound like one big trumpet
Yeah. Xavier plays trombone and will be going to Talladega next year. Dominic plays snare and will go to Jackson State next year. The 4th DM , Jalen, plays trumpet. He'll be the only one left next year. He got big shoes to fill after the 3 seniors leave!

Do these schools have the traditional fight song, when I was in marching band we always included our fight song as part of our parade route as well as our field competition show, it would be cool to hear the schools fight song
