Just in case you guys did not make the connection, Dave Grohl, Drummer of Nirvana ( you reacted to Smells like Teen Spirit) . Then founder and lead singer of Foo Fighters, and as a sideline, Drummer of Queens of the Stone Age.
Great song, and I love that you guys try and promote trying all kinds of genres of music, whenever asked what type of music I listen to my response is always I like songs, my playlist go from opera to heavy metal all in between!!
Yes!!! I completely agree!! Tim & Fred are so wise to open their minds & expand on all genres. When one sticks to one genre, whatever the genre, they don't know what they are missing!! Great song. Great reaction. 👍
Straight up and down! The first house party I went to was a metal/punk show at what would now be my good friends' home. At the end of the show, people were hanging out. I walked into the living room/stage and the homies were playing Cameo and other 80's funk. I knew I found the right place after that.
Just as you're exploring rock, you're teaching me to really appreciate genres new to me like Rap, Hip Hop, Country...I was so excited that I knew the music of all the artists performing at the Super Bowl all due to your reactions and your teaching me how to appreciate such wonderful, talented artists. THANK YOU!
Queens of the Stone Age (or 'QOTSA') are not a typical shredding heavy rock band... their sound is more of the 'stoner rock' genre w/ fuzz guitars and low-key vocals... Josh Homme (vocals & guitar) is the key member of the band. I recommend the QOTSA songs - 'If only' ... 'Regular John' ... 'The lost art of keeping a secret' ... 'First it giveth' ... 'Little sister'... 🔥🔥
This song was HUGE when it first came out! QOTSA is a highly underrated band; I love the singer's voice, too! Y'all should check out Muse; their sound is so different compared to many artists out there. Top 3 to check out: Uprising Madness Pressure
Any time you can add a little Dave Grohl, it's 🤩🤩🤩 But love Queens, love Ginger Elvis 😁 My favorite QOTSA song is Little Sister (if you wanna take a fun little trip down a cowbell rabbit hole, try starting with Blue Öyster Cult's Reaper, then SNL's More Cowbell skit, then Queens of the Stone Age's SNL performance of Little Sister-- it's worth it! 🤣🤣🤣)
in my playlist there is hip hop ( mainly boom bap, old school west coast, NYC jazz rap ) there is rock ( from the 70's and more modern stuff ) there is some hard rock, some classical music, just pick the best from each genre and you have an awesome playlist, keep up the reactions my dudes !
People with open minds are open to all types of music. Music speaks to rhythm and that speaks to our beating hearts. Everyone has a beating heart and everyone can fall in love with a song regardless of where that song originates.
Guys, Queens Of The Stone Age are such an underrated band, they are honestly one of the best rock bands to come out in the last 30 years. If you hit them again, you gotta hear their song Mexicola.
There is nothing wrong with being well rounded. How are you going to live in a world of possibilities only listen to one thing, eat the same food and travel the same places. You can't understand if you refuse to experience different perspectives. This will forever be a throwback favorite.
Mark Lanegan (on the red guitar) just passed away right after you posted this. He was the singer of the Screaming Trees one of the very first grunge bands.
My mom would say it's good to listen to all kinds of music. I listen to a little of everything. If I find meaning in the song or like the beat, I don't care what the genre is. Keep up the good work! ❤️
Aye! It’s one of of your first followers (who often referred to herself as your Aunty back in the day)! Uhhh, y’all look all grown up now, which is so crazy to me, but I’m def happy to see y’all thriving & doing extra good! Anyway, I got some hot tracks from my era for you to try! 1.) Dee-Lite “Groove is in the Heart” 2.) Lucy Pearl “Dance Tonight” 3.) Fu-Schnickens “Ring The Alarm”! Y’all continue to stay blessed & extra cool, please! Much love & mad respect to you both for always! ❤️
This video epitomises why everyone LOVES your videos. Because we live in a media world that overuses hip-hop and r&b. It’s in everything and like you said, people can get consumed by that and only ever listen to it, ignoring all the other wonderful music out there. And you guys don’t subscribe to that. Keep up the good work!
This song is what got me into my favorite band. After hearing all of their songs over and over (especially this one) it still stands up as an amazing groove. Each section of the song is so technically sound. It's just sick to listen to again and again. I thought I was sick of this song but I was wrong
Music has always been my 1st true love. I cannot understand how anyone can only like 1-2 genres of music. There are SO many genres of music from all over the world, to limit yourself makes no sense. Its like robbing yourself of so many gems out there, for no reason. People like that have to realize there is good & bad music in ALL genres. Experience as much of it as possible, & at the end of the day, you're only left with TONS more options to choose from, instead of whatever is only within the 1-2 genres they're stuck in, only good can come from opening up to more variety, I promise! 💚✌🏻🎵
Hi guys 😊 I have never commented before but I have enjoyed your reactions to songs I listened to when I was younger. I think you would really enjoy this one… it brings people from around the world together to make a difference. Here is the name of the video: When The Levee Breaks feat. John Paul Jones | Playing For Change | Song Around The World. Keep being awesome and being open to different genres of music. Hugs! 💕💕💕
OMG u guys are at 885k subs! Ur getting closer to a million. You will hit that soon! You are officially INFLUENCERS.When you reach 1m please do a video on the journey, how listening to all different kinds of music old and new has changed you,and experiences you have had along the way.You should do some special merch when u reach that milestone!
Queens of the Stone Age is my favorite band. ❤️ Please check out “Little Sister”, “Make It Wit Chu” or “The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret” next. Thank you!
the band dave grohl was in between playing drums for nirvana and starting foo fighters were he played everything till he was gonna play live, record more and needed a band.
Not sure if others pointed out but the drummer there was just playing on this album for them. That was the Legendary Dave Grohl, drummer for Nirvana and lead singer/guitarist for the Foo Fighters.
I agree 100 percent. If you only listen to one genre or music. You are really missing out I know a guy who only listened to modern Rap and then started noticing not older rap but also rock and country I make play lists for him now with a mix of decades also And he is now really gotten in doo-wop Of the 50's Plus a lot of people should check out the influencs for their favorite acts For example. Steve Perry grew up a fan of Sam Cooke Music for me is a never ending education There are no degrees because the learning never stops
If you really pursue this band, every album is worth your time beginning to end. There may be a few to skip but honestly not many. Huge catalog and it changes every album. Especially songs for the deaf.
Great reaction guys - unfortunately we lost Mark Lanegan a few days ago [the guy sat in the middle in the car] - absolutely amazing musician, singer, and songwriter - RIP Mark
I love that you guys get into all different genres, but I’ve been waiting for some emo reviews 😋! I recommend My Chemical Romance- welcome to the black parade, or Yellowcard- ocean avenue, or Breaking Benjamin- Diary of Jane. I’d love to see you guys react to anything like that!
For some fun, you should check out the collaboration between Jay Z and Linkin Park. The mix of rap and rock was next level. They did a whole album, I recommend any song on it
Love you guys! I also recommend you to listen Depeche Mode. One of the greatest bands ever! They were huge.Never Let Me Down, I Feel You or Walking in my Shoes are my personal favorites (actually it is hard to choose because there are so many)
Dave Grohl killing it on drums, as usual. One of my fave bands.
I think David toured a bit with them. Most people don't even notice he's in the video.
Can't wait till 'Studio 666' David G movie coming out..🎬 check it ALL out🎶🎬🖤
Yes he’s the best. Legendary guy
Drummer is killing it!!!
Grohl is amazing, which is why I prefer all members of the band to be Dave Grohl, i.e. Foo Fighters XD
Just in case you guys did not make the connection, Dave Grohl, Drummer of Nirvana ( you reacted to Smells like Teen Spirit) . Then founder and lead singer of Foo Fighters, and as a sideline, Drummer of Queens of the Stone Age.
Don’t forget Them Crooked Vultures the devil in tenacious D… a couple other bands he stand ins for too
Great song, and I love that you guys try and promote trying all kinds of genres of music, whenever asked what type of music I listen to my response is always I like songs, my playlist go from opera to heavy metal all in between!!
Yes!!! I completely agree!! Tim & Fred are so wise to open their minds & expand on all genres. When one sticks to one genre, whatever the genre, they don't know what they are missing!! Great song. Great reaction. 👍
I sooooo agree!
My playlist goes from Rock music 70s 80s and 90s to some r&b rap soul and some country.
Straight up and down! The first house party I went to was a metal/punk show at what would now be my good friends' home. At the end of the show, people were hanging out. I walked into the living room/stage and the homies were playing Cameo and other 80's funk. I knew I found the right place after that.
I love listening to this song with headphones on , you can really here Dave Grohl beating the hell out of the drums
Dave on drums kicking ass!
Glad you guys like a variety of music! Makes life better!
I ADORE these two young men!!! Watching them just makes me happy. They are just good kids. I know how proud their Mom must be of them. ❤️😊❤️
queens of the stone age "go with the flow"
They did that one 😁
I like all kinds of music
Queens of the Stone Age (or 'QOTSA') are not a typical shredding heavy rock band... their sound is more of the 'stoner rock' genre w/ fuzz guitars and low-key vocals... Josh Homme (vocals & guitar) is the key member of the band.

Every song from that that album is gold! “ songs for the deaf“
You just listened to one of the best drummers ever.
SO TRUE! LOVE HIM and his down to Earth no BS personality.
Neil Peart, Bonzo, Danny Carey, Keith Moon and Dave Grohl are my five favourite drummers.
I love this damn song! Always loved it
Exactly. Listen to what catches your ears.
And this is my favorite QOTSA song.
Listening to one kind of music is like eating the same food very day. You can live on it but you’re missing out on so much.
Daughtry “Heavy Is The Crown” and “Home” and It’s Not Over”
Back to the 90s again....their best song...can't go wrong with DAVE on the drums! ❤
This came out in 2003.
@@seamusburke639 was referring to their start in1996...🙂
