    How to:
    step 1 - do an endorsement class / education test, and request an updated license.
    step 2 - "get bill of sale" from xpro (seller), and take that with you to DMV.
    step 3 - pay a weird California IRS tax....seriously, even if you're not a California resident you have to pay it before they register your bike. supposedly because they sell them out of California...whatever...it's only like $14 (one time payment).
    step 4 - register, and request plates, tags, and title.

    The oil you use should have the MA 2 certification (suitable for use with wet clutch and motorcycle engines with a catalytic converter) and should NOT say "energy conserving" on the API label.

    The dealer I got the bile from said the oil that comes in the bike is break-in oil. Told me to run about 20-30 min at idle. Then do oil change. Bought mine assembled and they did a fantastic job, checked it all with a fine-tooth comb. I like your video a lot and really appreciate you taking the time to do this for everyone. Excellent job brother, keep up the great work!

    So... I just subscribed. I'm curious to see what happens with the bike over time. What kind of things you find. What plans do you have for modification? What I see is most do mods right away and continue for at least a year.

      Thanks for the sub! It's a new channel so that really helps. I plan on getting the top speed up a bit, service intervals, and upkeep on the bike...nothing too extreme.

      @@ArmedForagerdid you have any issues with figuring out the wiring? We have an extra plug. Green black and red wires that we can't find somewhere it goes? On the diagram it's blurry and can't read it. I was wondering if it was for digital gauges. We went with mechanical.

      I believe that cluster on mine was for extras, like a speaker...I can't be 100% sure though.

    My state requires the MCO be notarized by the dealer/seller or they will not process the paperwork for registration. Is that something Amazon or some other online seller does?

    • @ArmedForager
      @ArmedForager  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I assume it's just more difficult through Amazon. My bike came from Wisconsin, but they made me file a California tax...I don't live in California. My state is not kind to it's citizens, not sure what your state is like, but I'm thinking it may be a DMV or State thing at this point.

    I have a million questions. Why did you say that the battery needs charging every once in awhile? The bike won't charge it? Thanks for sharing this with us.

    • @ArmedForager
      @ArmedForager  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Glad this video helped in some way! I wanted to be as complete as possible in the video, and the manual says to charge this one if it was manufactured over a year ago or every 6 months. This one did not need a charge regardless.

    • @harrygrimley4352
      @harrygrimley4352 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow. Thanks for quick answer. Will the bike charge the battery? I would assume that it would but it is Chinese 😅

    • @ArmedForager
      @ArmedForager  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It looks like there is a stator regulator/rectifier...coil pack, on the side of the engine there. My rectifier actually got bent in shipping. So it will charge while riding.

    Hi, I have a question to satisfy some curiosity. I recently purchased a similar Hawk DLX (Mine is not XPRO branded). On the Vin Plate attached to the frame Mine says the manufacture date is 12/23. What is the Date on yours? I ask because there is a difference in the bikes. Mine appears to be a counterbalanced engine, where the XPros I am seeing don't seem to be. On mine the engine cover over the brake lever is oval in shape, rather than circular, and the text "Hawk DLX" is on one line and not 2. From the video it looks like the one on yours is the circular cover with the text on 2 lines. Thanks for any info you can share (if you're willing).

      Looks like you've got me beat by 3 months; mine says 9/23. The difference may just be in the x-pro labeling/manufacturing?

      @@ArmedForager Its possible. My insurance lists the model as Chongqing Liy DLX250. I would imagine that manufacturer would be for all Hawk 250s. Lots of speculation, but It might be that the engine was swapped in Q4 2023. It might be an inventory backlog from the importer as well. I purchased mine through a "Brick and Mortar" Dealership in TX (ordered online, but they have an actual showroom a couple of hours away). It is branded RPS . I wonder if that would be better for stocking inventory. Was curious because I have seen a couple other XPRO models with the non-counterbalanced engine style where folks were saying that they were '23 or '24 models. Guess it is just one of the oddities of owning this style of bike. Thanks for the response!

    How do you get the bill of sale like how long did it take after receiving the bike to get the mso and bill of sale

    • @ArmedForager
      @ArmedForager  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, yeah, from what I remember, it was only like 2 weeks tops from when the bike arrived that the bill of sale then came in the mail. It was all relatively consolidated.

      @@ArmedForager awesome I like the bike possibly going to look into getting one was it worth the 2375$ plus title and registration so well call it 2500$ gas it worth it?

      There's probably not a better deal on a brand new Enduro, but a used DRZ or KTM might also be a good value 🤔 I'm happy with this one and have zero buyers remorse!

    So how is it holding up so far for you?

    • @ArmedForager
      @ArmedForager  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This Amazon bike is everything I expected. I ride it everywhere (except the highway), and I ride it hard. I've gotten it up to 69mph, not 70...cranked, but it doesn't redline in 5th, so, I guess it will keep me from getting a speeding ticket. It's got just under 500 miles on it as of now, and I don't see any quit in it - nor has anything catastrophic happened. So far, so good.

    Is the assembly the same for the regular hawk 250

      Ok so the 250 efi doesn’t have a carb? Do you think it’s better to have the carb or go without ?

      especially if you live in a state with winters that require you to store the bike. If you can find it run ethanol free fuel. Ethanol will deteriate the rubber fuel and vacuum lines over time and cause you headaches.@@ArmedForager

    How does this do on the highway can it handle 65mph speed limits? Does it go faster than 65mph

    • @ArmedForager
      @ArmedForager  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I finally got it up to 71 - passed a semi going down hill.
      I'm 5' 9" and 195lbs of pure dude...and it maintains 60-67mph cranked down in 5th gear. It will not red line as it is governed. I've been riding it to work and back (30min ride), on a 55mph hwy. It does fine, and you won't get a ticket riding the DLX 😉
      If you do buy it, follow my Amazon Link!! It won't cost you any extra, but it would give me a kick back. Link in description 😀

      I think there is a street bike version that might get up to 80mph 🤔 but they don't sell anything over 250cc on Amazon it seems.
      This really is gonna be the best cheap Enduro on the market though IMO.

      @ArmedForager I saw that version on motobuys I prefer the supermoto look to the street bike look...i don't plan on taking it on the highways just kinda wanted the ability just in case and
