Outstanding finish! That is smoother than glass! People getting your boards (chess or cutting or other work) have no idea how much time, patience, and attention to detail you put into every one of your boards. Even the videos don't show it all but give them a good idea how much expert craftsmanship is put into you work. The care you put into the shipping is just one more good example! Very lucky customers!
Flawless, absolutely flawless - as always, I should mention... Really, thanks for sharing your ideas & skills with us. A true inspiration. I have seen every single movie you showed on youtube. Best greetings from Germany, Michael
i have seen some chess boards being made....but you sir are amazing at your designs some are just trippy .....and inspiring.....liked and subbed...keep the vids coming
that finish was amazing ! I tried to make this kind of finish once (glass finish) but even after 20 minutes buffing didnt help. You sir are great at what you do.
woow fantastic polish... I was amazed at the last polish. your hard work is really worth it. God has blessed you with amazing quality.... hats off sir... thank you
Euuwe That turned out nice! For not having a (professional) paint booth you have found out with Hard Work anything can turn out to be a Good Job. I owned a Automotive Repair Shop and I can see the steps you took (putting on the Apron before you started to Polish) was a good Idea, its the first step in Good Housekeeping,& the surround you made to try and keep the Polishing Material somewhat confined to the table you were working on (Nice). That is almost impossible, the polisher seems to speck up everything that is within throwing distance, and can cause quite a mess to get everything back to a clean state. The use of the spray bottle to keep the surface wet and acts as a lubricant is a must. I noticed you spot sanded by Hand the little dirt or lint specks out of the surface before you put on another coat of product, I was taught by an old timer to (take a New Single Edged Razor Blade) and hold it in the straight up position and u can use it as kind of a mini card scraper, you have to hold it flat and straight up, it scrapes the particle off level, then you sand your area after that, it Levels the surface a lot easier. Woops I am starting to write a Book, ha ha, When really All I wanted to say was, Darn you do nice work Andrei.
I surely can appreciate the quality of your chessboards each time I watch a new video. This one is beautiful but I couldn't really play well on it because of the beautiful glass like finish you put on the board. It would not help me concentrate on the board if a reflective light would be hitting my naked eyes. I would have to play with photo grey or transitions lens eyeglasses to help reduce the glare off the playing surface. Immaculate work though Andrei. I can't wait for you to send me pictures or videos of the boards you're currently working on.
Meu amigo sou admirador do teu trabalho você é muito caprichoso.. Parabéns My friend I am admirer of your work you are very capricious .. Congratulations
My Friend, It is obvious to anyone with eyes that work, what a fabulous finish you have achieved! an I please be excused to ask a couple of persona questions. What is the engraving machine you are using. In a general neighborhood how much is a piece of art worth. That looks like a lot of work! Fantastic!
Great demonstration! What grain filler are you using? Water based or oil based? Is it a commercial brand or your own mix? And what grit do you use after that? xx
