I tried to make them understand that I, as a foreigner, do not get the message in the song "EAEA" at all ... but I was "a black sheep" that evening. 😂 I really felt bad for this guy and was kinda upset that evening. ❤ BTW, another performance that I really liked (Famous- la Lola) - didn't even pass the semi-final. 😮 I think you'll like it, there was a masculine version of Chanel. 🔥

Completely agree. This was so much better than Eaea and would have got many more points from the televote. He only got just under 400 votes less votes than Blanca Paloma in the televote
Probably thanks to the anti lgtbqia vote...hadn't the semi results been released before the final, he surely would have won. Such a shame, his song has a great lgtbqia message and would have fit perfectly into Eurovision. It would have been an iconic performance which would have been remembered by generations to come. Blanca instead has a song, which will be on worst lists within the next few years and then will surely be forgotten about.
This would've been a wise choice for Spain because imo it would have been more universally liked but not too generic or boring like other pop-y dance numbers. There was so much energy, edge and dynamic to the performance.

And as someone from outside of Spain, I actually thought that Benidorm 2023 was a race between Agoney and Megara, actually everyone thought that. Both of them definitely would have finished on the left side of the scoreboard and I think that everyone in the Benidorm final (and a few non qualifiers) would have gotten more than just 5 televote points. Blanca's song was crap, its lyrics were insanely stupid and her vocals in the Eurovision final weren't great either, while Megara and Agoney definitely would have had great live vocals. Missed opportunity. And yes, maybe Ay Mama was a missed opportunity as well, but at least, they replaced it with something interesting, which would have been the case had they sent Megara or Alice Wonder. I don’t know, I like this song but I just feel like we’ve seen this type of song a few times already. Blanca Paloma’s song and performance was something not really seen before and so for me it was definitely the right choice for Spain despite the poor result with the public

Knew you guys would love this one, it’s so good! Benidorm Fest was pretty good this year - my personal favourite was Yo Quisiera by Alice Wonder which I thought was absolutely STUNNING and gives me goosebumps every time.
My personal fave from a strong Benidorm was Alice Wonder, but I was sure Agoney would win. A real vocal showcase. Meanwhile SanRemo, Cancao, and Eeste Laul had some wonderful songs that are well worth a listen.
Spain just dont know how to pick! dont forget they hated Chanel in the beggining and wanted to send Tanxugeiras which was a similar act as France that year, and look how bad France did that year.

Just my opinion here: as a Spanish person I dont regret nothing about sending Blanca to Eurovision, she did her job and, despite the results, she made us proud with the work of art she did on stage. It might not be for everyone she sang our roots in a very powerful way with an unquestionable brilliant voice tho. If you are not into flamenco I get why you would rather vote for others. However, the way I see it is we (Europe) shouldn’t get obsessed about finding the formula to win and just send songs that could catch more points. Eurovision is a space for celebrating culture and the freedom of expression form each country so sending something Europe would have never listened to if Spain hadn’t sent this is nothing but positive for the contest. Regarding with the televote, I strongly think it would have been a similar case for Agoney or any other. This years televote was crazy because all the points were split into two countries that’s why so many other nations with incredible songs got such low results in the televote (Austria, France, Armenia…) . I mean, there is only a difference of 29 points amongst 8 contestants (from the 10 to Blanca). Being that said, we should be proud of the job Blanca did on Eurovision and stop pretending each country to send simple and basic pop songs for everyone. Taking risks is also part of the game and countries should try it every now and then. Thanks for reacting with your sincerity to these videos. Love from Spain! 🇪🇸
It's not with Austria, Australia, France or even Germany or Armenia, who were out of the Bottom 5 in the majority of countries, but weren't that often in the Top 10 either, she almost finished in the Bottom 5 everywhere and anywhere else she wss in the Bottom 10, except for Portugal, France and the rest of the world. But yes, each year, someone has to come last, and it's a shame, if everyone had great songs, because then, many great songs would either finish last or wouldn't even qualify. So that's why we need diversity in quality.
This performance would have made into a top 10 without a doubt, Spain still doesn't understand that this is an international competition, sad to remember the hatred that Chanel received, and how they suddenly changed their minds when she came in third place.

Agoney was by far my favorite at Benidorm this year. I remember that he was basically everybody's favorite on deifferent Eurovision forums and among my friends. I guess Spanish people saw something in Eaea, but I just don't understand it. I don't speak Spanish, but I saw the lyrics' translation on the interenet. Of course, they are interesting, but it wasn't enough to carry the song and apart from the lyrics Eaea is mediocre at best.

I still think you are wrong, sorry guys, but even if you didn't enjoy Blanca's performance, the t is that her voice and execution was flawless. Agoney's song is not only similar to Israel 2022, is almost the same chorus of Maruk from Ukraine. I think if the profetional jury gave Blanca the ninth position, being people prepared to judge those kind of songs and live performances, the fact that the televote gave her only 5 points is a little bit suspitius. And I honestly think that is very disrespecful by you guys to say that Blanca receiving 5 points from the televote was your favourite moment of the night. Sorry, but is my honest opinion, even if you think we missed the mark with Agoney. I woudln't say that my favourite moment of Eurovision was Mae Muller almost getting the chop.

At Benidormfest my favorites were Karmento with "Quiero y duelo" and Megara with "Arcadia" (Wish you react to that one). I also liked Vico with "Nochentera". I still sing all these songs every now and then However when I saw Blanca Paloma's perfomance it was pure magic. Blanca Paloma was the only one that from her semifinal to the final actually won more points (both in jury and public). Agoney's song was not a favorite of mine, althought I recognized he has great vocals.
Agoney was the whole package, catchy tune, impeccable staging, great vocals and great lyrics which are targeted at homophobes. Blanca had none of that, only good looks. It's a fair guess that he would have finished far ahead of her, maybe even in the Top 10. And if they didn't wanna send him, they could at least have sent Megara, which is a female lead rock band who had a great song as well. And yes, off topic, but I don't like Sebi either, also because I can't hesr them, it's too numbling, too ehispery for me, same with Serhat, but at least his chorus in Say Na Na is OK. Not saying, Sebi was a bad song, but I just can't stand it for 5 seconds, not in the studio version, not their Eurovision performances, but the EMA version and their acoustic sets in smaller venues are OK, because her voice doesn't get that lost in that atmosphere. Great effort, though and I also like her outfit, or as I should say, the fact that she doesn't show too much cleavage and isn't styled like a bimbo. But her sound isn't for me, I like it a little bit louder. At least for the vocals, but I don't care about the instrumentation being rather low volume, I'm rather turned off by low volume voices, especially when they're making s and sh sounds.

All rigged from the get-go, I bet, Agoney would have won, hadn't the results been released beforehand. Or maybe people who didn't want him to win would have voted for Vicco, who definitely would have won more than 5 televotes. But Spaniards rather want to embarrass themselves with an awful song (with bad vocals, but maybe they were OK in the jury final) and 5 points, than to send an lgtbqia person who's got great vocals and whose song is targeted against those homophobes. But maybe that's just like with Conchita, who lost her nf thanks to anti Conchita votes in the superfinal (they should have done it without a superfinal or maybe they could have done one with 3 participants) against a song that would end up last in the sf (btw I prefer Trackshittaz over Eaea and Quiero Arder is better than That's Whst I Am, this would have qualified, maybe landed on the left side of the scoreboard, but definitely not won, Rise Like A Phoenix was a better proposal, plus it would have had the same problem that Quiero Arder would have had, namely Loreen), so maybe they should call off Benidorm 25 and select him internally. And maybe he could even win.
I think it wouldn't have hit top 10 either, this year simply wasn't Spain's. Eaea was the best choice. Even though it was risky, Spain was able to shine after Chanel in a non-similar way.😍

Just my opinion here: as a Spanish person I dont regret nothing about sending Blanca to Eurovision, she did her job and, despite the results, she made us proud with the work of art she did on stage. It might not be for everyone she sang our roots in a very powerful way with an unquestionable brilliant voice tho. If you are not into flamenco I get why you would rather vote for others. However, the way I see it is we (Europe) shouldn’t get obsessed about finding the formula to win and just send songs that could catch more points. Eurovision is a space for celebrating culture and the freedom of expression form each country so sending something Europe would have never listened to if Spain hadn’t sent this is nothing but positive for the contest.
Regarding with the televote, I strongly think it would have been a similar case for Agoney or any other. This years televote was crazy because all the points were split into two countries that’s why so many other nations with incredible songs got such low results in the televote (Austria, France, Armenia…)
. I mean, there is only a difference of 29 points amongst 8 contestants (from the 10 to Blanca).
Being that said, we should be proud of the job Blanca did on Eurovision and stop pretending each country to send simple and basic pop songs for everyone. Taking risks is also part of the game and countries should try it every now and then.

It's not with Austria, Australia, France or even Germany or Armenia, who were out of the Bottom 5 in the majority of countries, but weren't that often in the Top 10 either, she almost finished in the Bottom 5 everywhere and anywhere else she wss in the Bottom 10, except for Portugal, France and the rest of the world. Agoney was by far my favorite at Benidorm this year. I remember that he was basically everybody's favorite on deifferent Eurovision forums and among my friends. I guess Spanish people saw something in Eaea, but I just don't understand it. I don't speak Spanish, but I saw the lyrics' translation on the interenet. Of course, they are interesting, but it wasn't enough to carry the song and apart from the lyrics Eaea is mediocre at best.

I still think you are wrong, sorry guys, but even if you didn't enjoy Blanca's performance, the t is that her voice and execution was flawless. Agoney's song is not only similar to Israel 2022, is almost the same chorus of Maruk from Ukraine. I think if the profetional jury gave Blanca the ninth position, being people prepared to judge those kind of songs and live performances, the fact that the televote gave her only 5 points is a little bit suspitius. And I honestly think that is very disrespecful by you guys to say that Blanca receiving 5 points from the televote was your favourite moment of the night. At Benidormfest my favorites were Karmento with "Quiero y duelo" and Megara with "Arcadia" (Wish you react to that one). I also liked Vico with "Nochentera". I still sing all these songs every now and then However when I saw Blanca Paloma's perfomance it was pure magic. Blanca Paloma was the only one that from her semifinal to the final actually won more points (both in jury and public).
Agoney's song was not a favorite of mine, althought I recognized he has great vocals.
Agoney was the whole package, catchy tune, impeccable staging, great vocals and great lyrics which are targeted at homophobes. Blanca had none of that, only good looks. It's a fair guess that he would have finished far ahead of her, maybe even in the Top 10. And if they didn't wanna send him, they could at least have sent Megara, which is a female lead rock band who had a great song as well. And yes, off topic, but I don't like Sebi either, also because I can't hesr them, it's too numbling, too ehispery for me, same with Serhat, but at least his chorus in Say Na Na is OK. Not saying, Sebi was a bad song, but I just can't stand it for 5 seconds, not in the studio version, not their Eurovision performances, but the EMA version and their acoustic sets in smaller venues are OK, because her voice doesn't get that lost in that atmosphere. Great effort, though and I also like her outfit, or as I should say, the fact that she doesn't show too much cleavage and isn't styled like a bimbo. But her sound isn't for me, I like it a little bit louder. At least for the vocals, but I don't care about the instrumentation being rather low volume, I'm rather turned off by low volume voices, especially when they're making s and sh sounds.

And because anti lgtbqia people who were against Agoney, Megara and Alice Wonder (OK, she didn't stand a chance anyway) of course voted for her, there was the lgtbqia semi and the straight semi, they released the semi results before the final (the EBU shouldn't allow this to happen in NFs), so that every juror and every homophobic Spaniard knew who to vote for, if they wanted to prevent Agoney, Megara and Alice Wonder from winning. All rigged from the get-go, I bet, Agoney would have won, hadn't the results been released beforehand. Or maybe people who didn't want him to win would have voted for Vicco, who definitely would have won more than 5 televotes. But Spaniards rather want to embarrass themselves with an awful song (with bad vocals, but maybe they were OK in the jury final) and 5 points, than to send an lgtbqia person who's got great vocals and whose song is targeted against those homophobes. But maybe that's just like with Conchita, who lost her nf thanks to anti Conchita votes in the superfinal (they should have done it without a superfinal or maybe they could have done one with 3 participants) against a song that would end up last in the sf (btw I prefer Trackshittaz over Eaea and Quiero Arder is better than That's Whst I Am, this would have qualified, maybe landed on the left side of the scoreboard, but definitely not won, Rise Like A Phoenix was a better proposal, plus it would have had the same problem that Quiero Arder would have had, namely Loreen), so maybe they should call off Benidorm 25 and select him internally. I think we shouldn't be critiziting Spain for sending something they feel more represented with. Yeah I love Agoney Song but he would place in a similar place, the only difference would be that the juries points Blanka received would be Agoney's public votes and the public votes Blanka received would be Agoney's juries votes.

I never felt represented by EaEa, it's not flamenco, it's a weird mix of genres that don't usually like, so I'm not surprised for the 5 points...even in Spain to the general public it's a no, the song doesn't work only the stage
