How is Granite polished ? Different processes of polishing Granite Slabs.

- Flooring a building or house is a must. You can use different types of flooring like Carpet, Wooden Flooring, Vinyl Flooring which are soft floorings. Another is hard flooring like tiles and stones.
One among them is Granite which comes pre polished.
Granite is a stone that is mined and then processed in processing units.
First the Slabs are created. After the slabs are created they are polished on one side. If required they can be polished on both sides.
The three Granite Polishing Machines are:
1. Manual Polishing. When the polishing wheel is moved all over the granite by human hands.
2. Automatic or Auto Polish. In this process there is an automatic machine that moves the polishing wheel all over the granite slab.
3. The latest is the Line Polishing Machine. In this machine the Granite Slabs are feeded in the polishing machine courteously from one end, the machine polishes the slab while moving the slab on a conveyor. The polished granite comes out of the machine from other end. It is believed that Granite Polished in Line Polish is uniform and better.

Sir granite ko non slippery kaose karein. Mujhe floor par lagana hai if it is suitable.

Granite is prepolished normally.
Thanks for the excellent videos. Could you please let us know that in this polishing, the stone is also getting grounded ie the grinding is also happening at the same time.
a) What is the grit size used for grinding of granite in the Line Polishing method?
b) the slab, after coming out fo the machine, does it have to be further processed, or is it directly usable?
c) Can the granite slabs be used for flooring in apartments? Can the granite slab be cut on site like marble is cut? If yes, will the edges be smooth or jagged?

Joint will be visible. You can reduce the visibility by proper cutting and jointing. Also u can fill some black grout if required.

It is very difficult to grind and finish the granite. Marble it's easier.

Use vinyl floor loose laying. You can remove and clean the wetness regularly.

If the quantity is more than 4000 sq ft then only u should think of buying from Rajasthan.

Cement ke nisaan to saaf ho sakte hai par shine ke liye polish karani padegi. Par granite ki polish jara muskil hai.
