Fieldsports Britain - Helen Tinner shoots her dinner

- Fancy some venison? Why not shoot it yourself? Photographer Helen Tinner does just that, going out with deerstalking guide Nathan Whitehead in Suffolk to shoot a muntjac.
Over in Devon, Tom Davies has more of a challenge on his hands. He is trying to get a pheasant shoot off the ground, and his birds are spectacular - so spectacular, he and his guns are having trouble shooting them. Thanks to Storm Arwen, they are screaming past.

Venison is the finest meat you can eat in my opinion I wish venison was as easily available in shops as it is in New Zealand I use to have venison sausages every morning for breakfast when I worked out there now more then ever we need to be pushing game to the front of the meat counter.

Well done to Helen for shooting and cooking her dinner. I enjoyed the news snippet about the outraged Irish MP not knowing about deer stalking in her constituency. What is wrong with these people? They are so detached from the reality of the people that they are elected to supposedly represent as to be beyond parody.

Hang on, surely your local constabulary are REQUIRED to process FAC applications. That's part of what we pay them for.

Good video. Congrats to Helen. I enjoyed hunting with the guide earlier this year. Although it was with the rifle, I would say it was one the best experiences in my life. I'm however not much of a gun person, I prefer shooting bow and arrow. Shame bow hunting, which is permitted in many countries in the EU, is banned in the UK- it would be a real reconnection with nature for many if it is allowed. Who knows, maybe one day the authorities will work towards changing the regulations.
Lovely to see a lovely lady like Helen Tinner getting out and getting out there to shoot her own meat. I'd love to meet a lady like her myself as I often go out for a shot.
But I'm a stalker and not into tree blinds. I also hunt with a muzzle loading patched round ball rifle as well as a Tikka 243.
I'm an Ex pat, now living in NZ and to go hunting is quite easy.

Muntjac are a pest here in Norfolk. A good AAA shot with a magnum load will do the job just as well.

Thanks for this. From a standing start, I reckon it's easier, cheaper and quicker to book deerstalking with a professional than to get a game of golf or tennis with a pro. Look for your local deerstalking guide and enquire. They will need to know you can shoot straight, but can help you with that, too. / Charlie

I love this channel but I get so depressed watching the news segment and basically seeing the slow but inevitable end to shooting, hunting and fieldsports in this country :(
Not necessarily its obviously a battle between the woke leftists and the right if you stand up for what you believe in which is what this channels about commonsense can win.
