Press the lock button 3 times. Hold down the lock button on the 3rd press. The vehicle will remote start. That is a hidden feature Toyota and Lexus have had since the 2nd generation keyless entry key fob came out.

I love the fact that a Rav4 Prime, the pioneer-ish of the SUV combo, was in the test video for a while. We loved ours, thus we cannot wait for our allocation of a TX 550h+.
We’re about to get our TX in about 2 days and we’re very excited. We have tried everything in this segment and nothing combines the space, interior quality, luxury and MPG’s the way the TX does. The QX60 was really nice but much smaller than the TX, closer in size to the regular Highlander. Same for the MDX, drove slightly sportier but it’s much smaller, doesn’t offer the same MPG and the tech was very frustrating to use to put it nicely, the XT6 was just disappointing, it was old, slow, very cramped, horrible tech, it just wasn’t the mini-Escalade we were promised, and then there was the XC90, more luxurious than the TX, had even more power, wasn’t quite as efficient and the 4cylinder didn’t sound as good or as smooth as the V6, but ultimately it was much smaller on the inside and the tech was starting to feel old. ultimately we settled on a TX500h F-Sport Luxury we really wanted the plug in system but Lexus doesn’t offer the Pano roof for some reason when you get up to the 550h+. Hopefully that is changed soon.
It likely has remote start as Toyota has a sequence of key presses to execute. My 2020 Corolla has it so I’m guessing the Grand Highlander would too. You press the lock button three times at a brisk pace and on the third press, hold until the lights flash a couple of times. It will run the car for ten minutes then shutoff again. The timing can take a little practice but once you get it, it’s easy.
It's the most expensive one, but also honestly probably the one to get. Cant beat the v6 for reliabiltiy, and it's quicker and more economical than the non-PHEV hybrid.
Thank you, just to clarify additionally, does this TX have a softer/smoother or firmer ride than the Grand Highlander, particularly on rougher surfaces?
One thing I am wondering about is if this has a "room" mode where HVAC works over an extended period of time with the other functions of the car being off. It may make a great camping vehicle with all that cargo space if it did. Also, can the 120V 1500W outlet be used when the car is off, or in a way that it would cycle the gas engine on and off to keep the battery sufficiently charged. If so it would make a great generator to power a backup home window AC etc when the home power is out.
Great question! I honestly didn't check, but many of the vehicles in this segment hide a hitch receiver under some plastic cladding. I'd be surprised if it was missing one.
How do you feel about the lack of AC buttons vs. having to use the touch screen to manipulate the A/C level/floor vents/etc? Do you just leave it on auto?
MDX type S all day long. The MDX is a real luxury car with proper luxury car underpinnings The TX is not a luxury car. It’s underpinnings are also used in the Camry and RAV4, and both of those cars cost less than 30k each
@@naveenthemachineyou are aware that the MDX, Pilot, CRV, HRV and Accord are all based on the same global platform right? That is coming from Honda engineers
The MDX Type S would be my pick. Much more enjoyable to drive. However, I'm biased to favor dynamics higher than some other criteria. The MDX doesn't ride as nicely or have as much passenger/cargo space.
The fact that you didn’t put the sunglasses in the literal sunglasses holder is driving me crazy😭😭 And there’s also a storage space under the wireless charger that could’ve been utilized 😫😫😫😫
Self parking still needs some work obviously. I'd rather my self-driving features err on the side of conservative rather than reckless as this one apparently does.

Marginally smoother - the GH's ride is actually quite good. This one is tuned to be ever so slightly softer.

Clearly you need a Stanley so you can use normal cup holders, but carry a lot of water.
If the battery runs out will it hurt driving the car engine only?
Not at all - the hybrid system is designed to drain and recharged the battery without issue
Awesome
Do most Americans not reverse park their cars?
If you're over 12 yo and still feel the need to 'brag about' how your car looks, you shouldn't be driving at all. And who cares about a sunroof.
