That engine noise is terrible. The cost is 30$ . If it was all stainless steel and had an insulated motor compartment it would be quieter and lasts forever. I am intrigued by the fact that Aldi's was the one to bring it to market. This will undoubtedly gain attention and competition. Someone out there will see the need for more resiliency and bring them more sturdier product to the market. It is however effective and almost gets the job done. The industrial ones have water blast to rinse the potatoes off . I used to put a 50-lb bag and a potato peeler and it would peel really good. It had a hard Rocky inside. My job was to take those potatoes out and wrap them in foil and get them prepared for the cooks. I never mind doing potatoes because of that machine LOL
I would really like to know if it would be possible to add lemon to remove zest, I still haven't found anyone using it this way. if i could i would buy lemons for you to make this video for me ✌🏼😁

I don't think I'll be buying that one :) although the rough surface it gives to the spuds would probably be good for roasting. Might make it extra crispy. Anyway, your reviews are very thorough, great videos.
Yes, that's very observant, they do roast well with a rough surface. This machine is pretty pointless though, a peeling knife is quicker, cleaner and tiny, and needs no electricity :o)

Tried this and it doesn’t really work. The skins are too tough.
Potatoes and apples work well because of their thin smooth skin 😊
