      @@F.Swiper well mostly because these animal are going extinct and being over hunted for sport. And they are not wrong that human are evil since every animal that are extinct or going to are cause by human, and global warning and climate change also cause by human, environment in the ocean are slowly dying by the water temperature changes also cause by human and so on. bruh I didn't mean they are wrong but this is a law that will instantly backfire and stop telling me facts cause I already know. Most humans already know we are evil and this is our fault but just saying it won't do anything cause it is humans and we are dumb.

      @@iiiisssssaaaaaacccccc just have to mention something...did you just say every animal that goes extinct is caused by humans...you realize how many things have evolved and disappeared long before we even began on this world? and how many would have gone extinct with no contact with humans at all after we evolved? also should check out George Carlin - Saving the planet, great bit IMO

    About how animals understand how to make other types suffer: Animals aren't that different to humans. Not as in people are dumber than we think, but as in we do not give animals enough credit. A boatload more animals than we initially assumed are, like us, capable of choosing evil.

    The hyena/lion rivalry does make a lot of sense when you think about. Lions and spotted hyenas live in the same region, they hunt the same prey, they are often active at the same time and both are very competent predators. While all large predators view each other as competition, this makes the hyena/lion rivalry so intense in particular.

    That lion and hyena fact probably adds to why lions are The king. Hyenas go for the weak ones which is smart. But the boss lions go up and fold the boss.

      It's survival. Nobility gets you nowhere in nature.

    • @doug2555
      @doug2555 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      It's really not all that complicating... Hyenas are much much smaller than lions (most of the time, 1/3 their weight or lighter) so hyenas kill whichever lions are smallest or weakest. Even the smallest adult lion is going to be bigger than the biggest adult hyena, so lions pretty much have a free range on whichever hyena they want to kill. Has nothing to do with their "bravery" or that they are "kings" but ok. They are literally just like other big cats. Lions are overrated 😐

    The only reason they do this is because when male lions fight the have a mane to protect them so the only weakness is the spine of the lion

    Owls are silent because they have hairy feathers. If you've ever seen a bow hunter you'll notice some frilly things above and below where he seats the arrow. It's for the same reason, so the string doesn't make that thumping sound when the arrow is released.

    Knowing the concept of right and wrong is a unique thing only to humans, so all that is normal in the context of nature. Nature doesn't take sides, it's just indifferent. Animals don't choose to be evil, they're animals lol. When meerkats kill each other, it's not like they were plotting lol. Lions don't see hyena cubs like we do, they don't have the concept of caring if it's a cub. So, it's really interesting when some species show compassion for each other, especially other species. It doesn't mean they subscribed to our concept of morality though. They're not really enemies, more like prey vs predator or something that positively or negatively affects their food source or environment.
    I couldn't imagine if humans were part of that wildlife and had no concept of morality. Not even not understanding what morality is, but if morality literally didn't exist as a concept and things like murder was as much as a part of life as finding a partner.
