About the same price as my condo here in San Diego with a harbor view in Seaport Village. I thought Thailand would be cheaper still. I remember at Replay on Koh Samui they sold for 875,000 baht 56 sqm I guess Gentrification has come to SE Asia. Just wait for Black Rock to buy eventhing and rents will be on the rise in SE Asia.

Hello Cooper, New subscriber here in Jomtien. Appreciate the videos. Keep showing these type of condo buildings please.
I have some comments that you may or may not agree with. Noise will definitely be an issue for most of the units in this building, as it is barely set back from Thappraya. I just passed by earlier today and I’d estimate the front of the building is 50 meters from that road. If you open the balcony door on a beautiful day like today, you will definitely hear noise. It is almost constant several hours a day. The interior appointments (undersized TV sets, cabinets, etc) were slightly underwhelming, in my opinion. New cutlery set, WoW!!
The gym looked nice enough, with air conditioning and a TV set. Price for 70 sq mt - think I will continue renting until I find something really worth 5 million….to me. Ultimately, this condo could be attractive to those that just don’t care about noise, or an investor that just plans to rent out. The math that the agent explained seems quite reasonable.
I look for something that is very close to Thappraya, but isolated from the noise. Do NOT need an ocean view. I think not too difficult to find.

Yes. Rompoe market is near. There is a supermarket at Jomtien bus station which is about 200 meters away. And it’s on the baht bus route so very easy to get to Pattaya and Jomtien night market from there too 👍❤️👍

Well done Cooper for bringing viewers requests to channel . Great apartment & ticks many boxes if you want to own & be in one main location .
For rental investors , hopefully they have the knowledge to calculate approx Y on Y ROR % based on overheads & realistic Y on Y occupancy. Although realtors calculus always gives me a smile .
It’s a great area for those that rely on public transportation. And the sea view was amazing it looks small on camera. But in person is awesome 👍❤️👍

You own 100% of your condo if you buy in foreigner quota Andrew. Thais own 51% of building foreigners own 49%. It’s Thai law.

It is difficult since everyone has different lifestyle.

@@andrewmarsh688 Me too. So if I retire in Jomtien, I plan to have a budget of $2,000 USD a month for at least two decades. I know I will be under that amount every month but life is too short. To save and can't bring with you when you die.

Thank you for the video on a two bedroom apartment. The apartment was amazing beautiful apartment. ฿5 million if I’m not mistaken is equivalent to 140,000 US? In the rent between high or low season would be anywhere between 700 to 800 a month.? Just for a comparison where I am in northern New Jersey in the US a two bedroom apartment in an old style garden apartment with no pool no gym no nothing goes for $3000 a month.
And how much would that apartment in New Jersey cost to buy JW ??

Condo fees for owners here are very cheap and average 2000 baht a month depending on area and size of condo.

I’m very shy when I see green spaces underneath a view from my condo. I am thinking of buying. The building regulations in Thailand mean nothing will stop them from building huge condo blocks rating of you.
Just go to your local planning office here and inquire before you buy. They are required to tell you the building plans of vacant lots. 👍❤️👍
@@CoopersThaiAdventure too true for current projects, I was thinking more in the future. In the uk when someone submits building plans there is extensive consultation with locals to voice their concerns - it’s usually lip service if the builders have popped a few notes into the pockets of the councillors but it makes the little people feel better getting their moans out and the council pretending to listen!! :)
Cooper, can you talk about duties and fees for getting stuff from the US to Thailand? It was going to cost me an arm and a leg to send my daughter a 125 baht pillow to California. Cheaper to send her one from Amazon.

If I were a young person I would definitely be interested in a condo like that but I'm at the stage where I'd rather rent. Condo monthly fees are skyrocketing in South Florida with the insurance crisis and strict building inspections since the condo collapse in Surfside.🏝️
