From what I have heard that was the end of Ben's story and with HEARTSTOPPER is going to tackle the tougher topics but will retain the positive vibes about it.
without spoiling anything, ben isn't gonna be in s3 anymore because actually he isn't even supposed to be in s2 if the graphic novels were followed religiously. but yeah the author (alice oseman) has made it clear that charlie doesn't need to see him be redeemed just like what he said in ep 7. he has his own battles and charlie has his own for the next season which I'm glad ben isn't there to add more to it because s3 is gonna be painful enough.
It's interesting because even though Ben is gone in the graphic novels, he plays a semi-important role in Solitaire, which takes place during January in Volume 4. They don't describe all the events of Solitaire in Heartstopper, Nick just briefly talks about it, even though Charlie plays a massive role in it. So Ben does come back into Nick and Charlie's story, it's just not told in detail in the graphic novels. But Alice Oseman did recently confirm that the Solitaire events won't happen in the tv show and that Ben is gone for good. Just kinda interesting.
I’m so ready for season 3 now that they are fully out and together they are gonna have to navigate school and I hope they really tackle the eating disorder next season as someone who went through one around the same age Charlie is it’s a very important topic
Alice, the author and creator of the Heartstopper books and show is Ace so I’m not surprised she wanted to include a character for that representation. I also was thinking something bad was going to happen at the end, I guess that’s what I’m used to happening in a show. Great reaction, new sub ☺️
Don't think we will see Ben again. Everything that needed to be said has been said. Ben can no longer have any effect on Charlie so there is no need for him.

He appears in Solitaire (the original story about Tori that Heartstopper is actually a spin-off of), which takes place about a year after Nick and Charlie get together. Ben sucks in that book and physically assaults Charlie in it.
I saw an interview with Sebastian Croft who plays Ben. In it, he commented that he would not be in season 3. I hope that there is nothing bad that happens to him and they share it in season 3.
OMG. For a I thought the same at the very end too! Thought Ben was gonna be walking behind Charlie on the street or car head lights would turn on the second Nick closed the door. If this was an American show, that would totally happen. lol But then I remembered Alice wouldn't do that to us. I'm not expecting S3 until next summer - filming this fall I think. It is confirmed that the Ben character won't return for S3. There will be enough for Nick and Charlie to handle without Ben being in the middle (IYKYK).
u can see how much he love char and care for him and i love it and i do agree with u nick is boyfriend that char need in his life that will stand up for him and just be there for him its was so beautiful to see this. this season was so powerful and so emotional i cryed in nearly every episodes its was so beautiful to watch and the cast and the writers and everyone who was in this and music its was perfect and u can feel the connection and feel there pain as well its perfect and i love it and kit and joe who played {nick & char} need to get warded for this its so beautiful scene .
lol i'm totally with you on the always expecting something bad to happen, it took ages for that to wear off with this series! also totally relate to realising way down the line that i had a crush on someone of the same sex in the past but didn't realise it at the time! for me it was my geography teacher! loved your reactions, looking forward to the next batch 😊

Darcy's Mom is homophobic and racist and did you see Ben's comment under Nick's post? i hope we see the shower scene in season 3 episode 1, this episode calls Love and the last song your so pretty is from William Gao(Tao) & his sister
Nick and Charlie sold me as a couple last season but this one cemented it. They are perfection. They start filming s3 in October :)
