"Mental illness is one of the most stigmatized subjects in the world. It does not seem to matter how many people experience it or how many share their stories. There is always the suffocating weight of it being a “personal issue” and something, at the end of the day, to be suffered alone. In spite of this shame placed upon me, I find strength in myself. This dance is a reflection on the shifting state of my mind as I struggle to trust my own thoughts amidst the doubt of the rest of the world.”
