bro i know what kind of pain you were i had to finisch cod waw on veteran 2 times second time was beacuse of my brother i also had PTSD beacuse of grenades (i also completed COD BO1 BO2 MW2 MW3 GHOST on veteran
I love this video and I admire the dedication to platinum world at war, I feel the pain on a spiritual level since it took me 5 years to finish veteran mode and my god was it manly to finish it and platinum by knowing you beat one of the most brutal difficulties in gaming and level wise. It’s just immaculate.
The Relentless mission is probably the most hardest next to Heart of the Reich due to that you have to be exact with your smoke grenades to throw it on every chokepoints because those chokepoints are so narrow, there's where you need the smoke grenades and the enemies are focusing on that area firing and spamming at you. And you only need to throw one. Otherwise, you'll get stuck getting shot many times until you want to restart the whole level.
@Sheryl Richey The easy way is to don't use any smoke grenades until you've reach the chokepoints (narrow one way passages). You have 4 at the start and they are exact 4 scenarios where you need to use one.
@@jrashidblowtorch and corkscrew was a right pain to do was there for around the same amount of time, it’s always heart of the Reich it’s everything that’s wrong with the veteran campaign on full show for you to see😂
As someone who finished WaW on veteran 5+ times, every mission is pretty managable and doable without too much hassle EXCEPT heart of the reich. The final push at the stairs before the pillars with infinite spawning enemies is crazy hard. The lack of cover and big amount of ground you have to cover will make it come down to RNG to a big degree.
When I was 14 playing die rise back during bo2's wonderful adventures, I randomly decided to do this challenge as I had been playing and beating cod's veteran difficulties (when achievements sorta were cool) and let me tell you, I was able to get that sweet victory but I'm certain I have anger issues now lol.
World at war veteran campaign was a sweat. I beat back in 09’. I had to have a friend help me beat blowtorch and corkscrew on veteran. I couldn’t get past the very begging mg’s in the cliffs. All these years later, yet I remember it all!!

I have the platinum on every CoD (dlc's too), except for Bo4, still working on Blackout. The amount of grenades that WaW had is enough to give me nightmares
I just spent three and a half hours on the last 2 levels last night. I was up till 5AM mad as hell. Haven't done that since like 2014. It is an absolute amazing game but its incredibly dumb how hard it is on veteran
I just decided last week to do a Veteran-run on WaW, after not doing it for well over a decade (that time on the PS3). Now I am on the XSX. I was prepared for the worst to come, but I damn completed the campaign in just 8 hours or so, whereas on the PS3, and so many years ago, it at least must have taken me a week or so. It made me think and realize as of why I struggled so much back then must have been because my English were borderline bad (did not understand what the current mission was, and what was the next thing to do), and I definitely wasn't aware of the game's mechanics like you mentioned here. To have to be the first one to move up, before your squad of mates do so as well, and progresses the level. I also did not know what weapons to use for each level. I killed the sniper in Vendetta the first time, and did not die. The well-talked part of Heart of The Reich, I completed in less than 15 minutes, SURPRISINGLY. Literally the only part where I really struggled were on Burn ' Em Out, where I had emptied myself for smoke grenades early on, and struggled to get through the one part of two Japanese soldiers laser-aiming down the catwalk with Type 99's. That short part alone took me 45 minutes, if not more. Guess I should've just restarted the level, as it is very short, and just to get my smokes back, lol. Also Blowtorch and Corkscrew, and Relentless were a bit annoying in both their first sections, and the last section of Downfall, where you and your comrades are about to run up the stairs I struggled a good bit as well. GOD DAAANG, FEELS GOOD TO BE DONE WITH IT.
My three rules of WaW Veteran 1. Always be aware of cover and your surroundings 2. ALWAYS use hostile guns (unless you find or spawn with a LMG) 3. have patience and don’t be afraid to die over and over again to trial and error *certain* sections
As much as the fact I know basically nothing about WaW's Campaign, I'll have to say BO3 is probably harder to 100%. Even just including Campaign achievements and not Zombies or MP ones, there's one achievement that requires you to get all Decorations. This may not seem bad at first, but there's two decorations in particular that prove to make it very challenging. One requires you to Complete every single mission on Veteran without restarting from a checkpoint at any point throughout the mission, and a couple missions make that particularly difficult, one specifically is the mission where you have to shoot down the big ass plane thing in the sky by shooting the 4 targets on it. Even on the middle-ground difficulty, Hardened, I had a very difficult time with that boss fight alone. Second, there's another Decoration which requires you to complete all campaign challenges. One of these challenges requires you to beat every campaign mission on Realistic difficulty, where nearly everything is a 1-hit kill. That isn't the difficult challenge though, that can be done with enough grinding and pushing to checkpoints. The real difficult challenge is one that requires you to beat ALL 16 waves of Combat Immersion on Realistic Difficulty. Remember how I said nearly everything is a 1-hit kill on Realistic? Well, with that in mind, making it through all 16 waves of Combat Immersion without dying is a true feat. Make ONE mistake and you're toast. There's no checkpoints, if you die on round 16 to the last enemy, you have to start all over again. There are the cyber core abilities, but for most of them to work you need line of sight to the enemies, and putting yourself in LOS is very risky because one single bullet is enough to kill you. There's the Stealth Camo ability but I find half the time when using it the enemies will just shoot at you anyways as if you don't even have it on. Given all of that though, I will admit that even just viewing 12 minutes in, the grenades are ruthless in this game. Enemies don't throw them nearly as much in BO3, even on higher difficulties, and when they do it's usually only 1 at a time, and as long as you're using the tactical mode you can see them coming. Also, as for the Zombies mode, using the Wunderwaffe is actually kind of a bad idea, as it resets your max total health, and stops you from regenerating health back past that new max. Jug on Shi no Numa gives you 160 health if I'm not mistaken, but massively ups your regen speed and lowers the delay to compensate. Der Reise gives you 250 health, but no buffed regen speed. In both of these cases though, shocking yourself with the Wunderwaffe will stop you from regenerating back to what should be your maximum health. Also, for dog rounds, it's a bad idea to just run around aimlessly. Your best bet against dogs is to camp, as there's far less of them than the Zombies, and they deal less damage than the zombies do, so you can tank more hits from them. However, dogs are a lot faster than zombies are, so training them isn't really a possibility. That's why camping is usually the best bet, having an LMG is good cause you need to reload less, and it does good damage to the dogs.
from my experience on heart of the reich the enemies aren’t infinite if you have a kar98k keep killing eventually the numbers DO dwindle and you can move up also theres a russian with a ppsh you can kill and farm for ammo and not worry about the friendly fire penalty
Best strategy for dogs is to sit in a corner with a shotgun. This way you can't get attacked from behind and they are always a one shot kill with a shotgun.
Waw may be the one game you'll be more deep in grenades but other cods are pretty fucking known for it as well especially og mw2 and no doubtably the campaign remaster of mw2
But even i myself still has to admit at least mw2 still is a litte more forgiving but not too much more though, i would put mw2 under cod3 if not equal to cod 3 when comes to grenades spams actually both of would be under cod2 actually waw the cod2 then cod3 or mw2
I remember when I was on my quest to beat all cods on veteran. Got them all (upto advanced warfare Bc this was in 2014) except for world at war. Second to last mission made me quit for forever. Maybe I should try again since I was only 13 then. But then again I kinda don’t wanna go insane.
The zombie dlcs are what stopped me from playing this game. I was always worried I wouldn't be able to complete it with randoms as Black Ops Zombies was a challenge with the easter eggs. I hope they remaster this game so I can play & plat it
