Good morning Rosa ♥ We just moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan almost 10 months ago and went from city living to rural. Our cat is also a hunter. Birds, mice, squirrels, and chipmunks. I don't know why I still feed him kibble. Using the soil from your yard is a great way to save money. Do you have a compost pile? If you did you could mix it with the soil you dig up. I love that you used old milk jugs and made greenhouses out of them. This is a fantastic idea! I will have to try it next year. I have a pretty big greenhouse to start my plants in and I have a lot of my house plants in it right now because the lighting in our house is not the greatest. They love it in there! I use to live in a different growing zone so I am having to relearn how to grow my garden plus we have a lot of critter who might eat my garden, and we have a shorter growing time. I planted a lot of herbs. I want to use them in my cooking and dry some.
Our cats live outside and we still feed them too! I want a greenhouse but the jugs work for now. You can put the seeds in there over the winter they survive. I wonder if it works in colder climates. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge :D
