I loved playing both games in their full originality, no remakes or remastering needed, they are both a classic, horror masterpieces, as a kid, I enjoyed it very much, especially a certain levels with outstanding, unique atmosphere that gives you nightmares, which I had a lot as a child after spending time on playing Painkiller, one of these levels is the "Asylum" in the original Painkiller, and a fun fact is that a lot of levels were actually designed by the real life events and locations, just were changed a bit in order to make it fit for a game. They absolutely nailed the game for it's early 2000's era with the gore, music and atmosphere. ❤

I agree. Although you have probably seen that I am working on doing a remake of the original in UE5 (I am doing everything to ensure that it is quality, loyal to the original, and not a scam), I enjoyed these games back then and of course still go back from time to time. That's also why I play these mods as they add even better things and fixes to them. Asylum is for sure one of my favorites as well. The original teams did such a great job capturing the atmosphere of each level.
