I have two year old waterproof hokas speed goat that are still waterproof. Yes you spray them maybe once every 1.5 years. I've never sprayed these aside from the day I bought them. If you do this they will absolutely stay water proof until there's a break in the shoe, a cut or hole.
Thank you for the objective review, I've watched five reviews now and no one other than you would be honest about the waterproofing capability. I need a comfortable shoe with a wide toe box that will withstand the occasional puddle and rainstorm during close to freezing conditions. What would you recommend?
Thanks for the review...the durability is incredibly disappointing though. I would go for the standard Lone Peaks or the Superior 6, I'm also considering Topos..
I just bought these in mids for the ankle support but now concerned about the durability. A shoe should not rip like yours did in the first few weeks of hiking.

800-900 miles on 1 pair is way more than I get out of the several generations of lone peaks I've worn. Still worth it though for me
Huh? Do these shoes work or not? That was confusing.
Salomon son
Well for those of us looking for wide shoes the solomons are quite the opposite
