Great instructions! I just opened my sewing machine out of the box and starting to learn how to read patterns. I did Part 1 and 2 last night. Waking up to do Part 3 now! I’m trying to surprise my husband with this shirt in size L :)

YES! That would be amazing. Let me know if you have any questions! The next part is about the collar. It’s a lot of steps but so satisfying to learn to make a beautiful collar.

Questions: how to attach the sleeves and how to sew that bottom part of the shirt, the area where there is a slit.

This is very helpful thank you and definitely have a new follower. I'm very new to this and the instructions are unclear on step 3 of the video, what is the number cutout of the pieces for step 3 please 😊

The pocket is pattern piece #2, and preparing the pocket and then sewing it on to the shirt front is covered in Steps 2-4 of the written pattern instructions (and in this video). Hope that answers your question, but let me know if any further clarification is needed. Thanks for watching, and I am glad that you are finding these helpful! 😊

How far away is your next instalment? I am wondering if I should hold off trying to finish my shirt. The sleeves and collar look like the hardest this to do well. Your videos have been so helpful!

My goal is to have the collar installment done by end of weekend! 😊 I agree - sleeves can be tricky too, particularly if it’s your first time. I have a couple other videos on my channel about sewing in sleeves and some pretty detailed older videos on making a collar shirt if you want to try to zoom on ahead of this particular series. (Look for the videos featuring a blue and green chameleon print garment.) In some ways, those older videos may be more helpful to you than the ones I’m making for this series, since I show the sewing in detail. This series I decided to focus more on the pure construction to help people understand how the pieces go together. It’s assumed viewers basically already know how to use a sewing machine!
